To make the movies more visually impressive, to take them one step closer to being the ultimate action adventure movie series, to make more money: all the usual reasons.

Arrow it's confirmed, not just "some rumor"

Okay, here's the relevant articles:

We are at least supposed to get Episode IV in 3-D in theaters in 2007, but read up and see what you think.

Has he not turned down these rumours?

He has explicitly said that he would not redo the movies.

No, quite the opposite. He started the rumors, saying he would redo the movies in 3D.

Uh, it's not redoing, it's simply applying a filter.

oh god I thought you meant CG 3D... not those crappy glasses... AAAAHHH

They should start a new saga!
Star wars: Tales of the old republic, episode one...!
Or I'd certainly love to see the new-new republic... whats happening right now in that galaxy? Right now it 2006? That'd be awsome... rather that "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away" it'd be "now in a galaxy not so far away thanks to the laws of space"

or maybe the star wars films are actually set in the future, but because were so many millions of lightyears away its "a long time ago"

Lucas said if he does decide to make new ones, its not gonna be for another 20 years or so. and hes gonna be pretty old. so i doubt it. he did origanally want 9 movies. but no one would make a contract for a series of 9 movies. ive seen some of the screen plots for episode VII-IX. episode VII is called A Fallen Hero but i forgot the other ones. anyone else heard about this?

I'm not really so sure fortune faded. On the site I read the Episode III script off of they had up to a ninth movie, but I figured it was just garbage and didn't bother to read it.

Go play kotor if you want to get the joke... -.-
The Jedi Princess who lost her `saber under the seat.

FYI "The Princess Diaries for Leia" is a title used by Star Wars Tales once.

Easily the end of the movies, but with the TV series coming out...adventures will still be in full force in the Star Wars universe...just in a telivision way...

No, Dr. WHo fans may be crazy, but at least they don't have Dr. Who Weddings and Church sections and erotic creations/fictions and "terrorist" groups.

Granted, those are the extreme cases.

Well at least we don't have a series of Gungan Animations/Cartoons, or worse, Gungan Anime.

Wow, so much spam...

This is a discussion forums guys, not a chat room. Pleas post coherently, edit your posts instead of double posting and please try to put some thought into your posts. Also, punctuation is a must in every post, try to rember that as well the next time you post.

Thank you.
