I'm not sure if you have experienced the same thing, but I find it that ATM the speeders' tow cable attacks are relatively useless against AT-ATs, since they can be easily countered with just a stop command and have a pretty long cooldown.
I'd find it cool if speeders as a counter to AT-ATs would be buffed a bit (generally they're pretty strong) - there should be one Imperial unit that isn't best countered by Plexies

Here's a thought... how about if the tow cables would immobilize an AT-AT that's standing still so that if it moved for a certain amount of time afterwards it would trip? As it is the tow cable disappears pretty much immediately after it's deployed, but this way it would at least force the AT-AT to stand still for a while.
