Setting up a game

Ok, if anyone is still around here and can help me out, I'd appriciate it. My friend and I are trying to set up a game of Galactic Battlegrounds. We used to play all the time on a LAN, but now we're trying to do it from different locations. I created a game Internet TCP/IP for Directplay and gave him the IP, he typed it in and it never found a game WE also tried searching for the host name. So we switched, but I could not find his game either. We have both told our firewalls (Windows Firewall onlyon both machines) to allow the game. Anybody know anything I may be missing?

Just because people think what I say don't make sense, doesn't mean I don't like popsicles.
