The Legend of Zelda
If there are other guys here who enjoy the Zelda series, what do you think is the best Zelda game?
I recently bought a Nintendo Wii and purchased Twilight Princess, but i still think that Ocarina of Time is the best Zelda.
Anyone agrees, dissagrees?
I'm floating, and something's reaching out.

I've only played Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. I played OoT after I had already played TP for the Wii. I think I enjoyed TP more, but I may have enjoyed OoT more if I had played it when N64 was the current console. Most of my friends still believe that OoT is the best one in the series.

Ocarina of Time is probably one of the best video games ever.
Haven't played Twilight Princess yet though.

I just got a Wii and TP, Though the only Zelda games that I have played are
A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Twilight Princess
I would say TP is my favorite, because of the great graphics, story line, and more items and adventures.

I only played OoT, and it was a somewhat good game. Still prefer the KOTOR series though.

Seriously?
Trust me the jump Nintendo made to 3D with OoT was the best thing they ever did, go find a cheap N64 and play it dammit!

'A link to the Past' is one of the greatest of the Zelda games.
Oracle of Ages/Seasons are great to. But i do have to say Oot is the best game for Nintendo in this history of the company. Could even go so far to say that it beats all the other console games out there aswell, Sony and Xbox..

And I would totally agree with that...
No other game has given me more good memories than OoT on the N64, no other game was as much fun to play over and over again when I was younger.

Zelda...the best game series ever.
There are only a few games that make use of your emotions the way the Zelda-series does. You are sucked into the world of Hyrule, you don't PLAY Link, you ARE Link.
Been hooked since I bought Link's Awakening on the Gameboy Colour. It was followed by OoT for the N-64. That's where the addiction started.
It's too bad I don't have a Wii (poor student ) Or I would have gotten TP as well.
*sigh*
I'll go and play The Windwaker now

I really enjoyed OoT more because of the great storyline.
Ever Zelda game made after OoT had a little piece of OoT in it.
WW is like some kind of sequel to OoT and many things from OoT come back in story.
TP is like a sequel too, But i'm not finding the story great, and much changed.
OoT is like the first real Zelda, with the original Hyrule and the original Link.
I really agree that OoT is one of the best games ever made.

I mean, it wasn't a pretty good story-line, you were railroaded, it was just hack-and-slash, and the boss battles are cliched. It was the best game I had bought AT the time, but I prefer the KOTOR series than this.
Hey, I'm not criticizing the merits, I'm just saying the game wasn't for me. Different personalities, see?
Oh, and I did remember playing "A Link to the Past", the first part of it. Got bored however and stopped.

Get an emu, a copy of OoT (so you can legally download the ROM), and download the ROM of it. N64 is an old console, so you can probably get 60-70 FPS with AA and AN cranked up.

Enough talk of emulation.
Emulation = bad
Emulation = frowned upon by LF
So buy a Wii Get Twilight Princess and download Ocarina of Time. It works perfectly with the GCN controller.

Ocarina of Time > all. One of the greatest games ever, very involving.
Hoping to get either an XBox360 or a Wii soon, if I do pick up the Wii I'd have to get Twilight Princess, it sounds great. Will probably have to hunt down someone in the neighborhood who has a Wii so I can try before I buy .

Ocarina of Time for sure. That's the first RPG I ever played. Twilight Princess (GC version) is a close second, but I enjoyed both games. I'm kinda not looking forward to the next Zelda game since it's going to be a Wii only title, and I am really not interested in waving my arms around while trying to play Zelda. I'll stick with the traditional controller, thanks.
Oh and OoT for Gamecube rocks. No virtual console for me.

@ StarWarsPhreak:
OoT for GameCube runs terribly and the analog stick control hasn't been optimised for best use like the VC version has. The VC version has no load times meaning you don't have to wait at the start for that stupid bar to fill. Also it doesn't skip frames when things get too heavy and you have more control since they've made sure to optimised the game for the GCN/Classic controller analog stick. Need I go on? Cause I really can you know

Ocarina Of Time was by far the best of the Zelda games that I have played. N64 really revolutionized the series with OoT. A Link to the Past was alot of fun, but due to the SNES's limitations, it paled in comparison with the next step taken in OoT. MAjora's mask kind of sucked, and Nintendo's over abundance of kiddie driven games, drove me to the xbox and later the 360, I haven't owned a nintendo product since N64, but took a peak at Twilight Princess, and am curious to see how it is.

For me its a toss up between Ocarina of Time and a Link to the Past.
I played the heck out of both games back in the day. I can't guess how many time I beat Link to the Past. It was the first game I was ever "in love" with. heh
I really don't know what to say about Ocarina of Time that hasn't been said. It was gaming magic.

That's strange, I've encountered none of those problems. Just lucky I guess? Either way, I'm happy with what I got now.
What they need to do is port OoT to the DS. That would be plain awesome.

@ SWP: We are talking about OoT on the Zelda Collectors Disc right? Well I guess I noticed all of the imperfections cause I'm extremely sensitive to that sort of thing when it comes to video games.
@ Darth Smaug: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess are equal at the top of my list, with A Link to the Past and The Wind Waker second and everything else is third
@DarthSion101: Yeah kiddy driven games... oh wait, out of the 40 GCN games I have now, only 10 of them are actually "kiddy driven" WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?! DID I BUY THESE GAMES IN SOME ALTERNATE REALITY OR SOMETHING?... honestly people, the reason you only see kiddie driven games is because you don't bother to look at what else is on the platform, you just see "Nintendo = kiddy" and move on.
Jeez I hate that kind of crap. I don't even think Viva Pinata is "kiddy driven"... about the only thing you can really consider to be kiddy driven are those games made from those movies that are designed to sucker in kids who have seen the movie.

I love the Zelda series, Im probably a bigger fan of it than I realise.
Ive played all of them, with the exception of the GBC titles and Twilight Princess, although the only one I've played to the point of completion is the Wind Waker, thats probably the game that really introduced me to the series.
I started playing Ocarina of Time on Gamecube (comes with The Wind Waker), and although I only played it up to the bit with Jabu Jabu? I could still see how alot of people love it so much, its an awesome game
