Vehicle bug.

Sorry I couldn't get the "Trac" thing to work.
Anyways, when I try to land a vehicle that flies it crashes. Say, an x-wing. I get in, actually move , then try to land and then it explodes killing me. I'll be back later. I'm not a new guy. I just never posted before.

Yes this is a known bug to crash when the X-Wing explodes.

ive never seen this and i fly vehicles a lot in OJP hell its the only time when my fighter can cloak, could you give us more information like how high you were when you tried to land, was there things around you, and how rough was the terrain?

The map was a custom one. The terrain was completely flat. I was using a tie fighter, but I spawned an x-wing to see if it was just the tie fighter or not. Anything else?

Oh, right (found edit). It was ojp and I landed on a brush type of terrain. Worldspawn. I tried it from multiple heights already so that's low-high checked. I also checked it on multiple maps to make sure it was not mine. I noticed it first in about 0.0.9n, but I didn't say anything. 0.0.9b did not have it. I did this in free for all mode.
edit: Oh yeah, I did use vehicle teleporters, but I don't see how that could relate. (In my map)

this is really weird i was flying some stuff today to check this out and nothing landed fine every time. hmmm was your ship damaged at all?

Not in the least. I've done it ten times over at least. I can even just get in the ship, fly in a circle, try to land... and the ship explodes. Even with "no pilot die" on it kills you.

edit: I got it. It was something in the base folder. Though, I don't know which file right now...

edit: not sure what happened.

edit: Okay, now it is just a specific set of vehicles. A custom (not my making) miniature tie-fighter/bomber. When I use them in my map WITH ojp(tested without), both spawned by buttons and NPC_spawners, they explode on landing. Hmm... is there a way I could send a demo of it ingame?

edit: okay, I recorded the two situations. (ojp and without it) Not that I know how to give it to anyone... If there is a way, though, then they're ready.

edit: oh yeah, I still stand by it not exploding in 0.0.9b. Since I just did it with "b". Ha, need a demo for it?

Ahaha sounds like when I used NPCtool make x-wings miniature so they were more useful on small maps :d

What? No, the actual model has been scaled down. Not the scale factor in the npc file. I got the two ties (fighter/bomber) a while ago.

Is it okay to say where I got them?

Err....i miss understood the problem....it crashes whenever you try and land....not JA crashes when it explodes....sorry. *tries and lands x-wing*.

I scaled them down to 10% size and they were like RC planes, you could actually (theoretically lol) fly them in duel maps if you wanted too. I don't remember what was wrong but I could never enter them, I could make an npc out of them but it wasn't able to fly on it's own. Did try to shoot me and turn towards me once it was airborne though.

The reason I want to be able use smaller ones is for a new map idea. Using small vehicles to go to other "planets", or other duel settings, through a miniature space area. I have the basic setting for it laid out, but I am going to redesign it for looks. Of course, the only small vehicles available randomly explode on landing in ojp. (which I prefer to use over regular JA)

Now I just want to know what is wrong with the two ties so it can be avoided with future vehicles.
