New meatgrinder map rotation
Since we haven't really done any work on seaige and haven't completely balanced out holocrap...I mean cron, what do you guys think about redoing the map rotation so it only has FFA, Team FFA, and Jedi Master? For some reason I don't have half the seige maps anymore so I have to wait the games out and we end up voting through them half the time anyways.

I can totally understand bumping holocron to the back of the map cycle and increasing the number of maps on the gametypes you mentioned.
Someone just needs to look at the server script and add additional maps to the cycle. After that, I can upload it to the meatgrinder. But, please don't remove working maps from the cycle. While unpopular, I think we should at least have the maps in the cycle, even if it's just an excuse to make people test out the voting system.

Going from Jedi Master to non jedi master can cause problems with force config sometimes though. IE: Non-JM wont have any force powers on the next map. and JM will have default powers because he has "too many".
Edit: I'm considering giving you the revamped voting system if you want. Its all handled specially, CheckVote still is what is used, but the whole callvote, etc is all revamped and theres even an option to cancel your current vote (could add this to menu or something) but its a cmd for now.
Cancel vote meaning, if you called the vote, it will terminate the vote and auto fail.
Also: If the vote caller disconnects from server when vote is still active, it will auto fail to prevent auto pass from reconnect.

really. I can't imagine that happening since the player has their force powers cleared out on every respawn. :| Does that happen in basejka?
Also, does your voting revamp require the client side to be alter or is it just internal changes?

Doesn't require client, just internal. O.J.P. already has the fix-ups for the client-side anyway. And its only for regular votes, not team votes because i saw no point in keeping them.

Does it break the team votes then? If not, I don't see any reason to decline this. Go ahead.

Is it possible to enable gametype voting rather than just voting through 1000 maps? That gets annoying after a while having little control over what we're playing.

MC: We've never had much luck with third-party maps, but I'm not against the idea. We just need download links for any additional maps we add.
Hocky: Not really, the problem with gametype voting is that it blows up the map cycle. :| Maybe that's something we could tweak in the future. I think the main reason why we have a map cycle in the first place is that the bot_minplayers and some other settings don't shift based on the current gametype.

Don't even think of custom maps. I can't even get people to use the raven-made bonus maps.

Yeah unless we add these maps to the mod itself, it might do more damage than good.

Midgar not a good idea, that map is bigger than OJP Enhanced itself. And takes 5 minutes to load and my mod kills it because it has waaaaaaay too many entities.

ixnay on Midgar for me, I hate waiting super-long for that map to load. Anyone try Neo-Tokyo? Pretty good load time, nice atmosphere, great sniping and dueling spots.
