Adding damages bonus... To gloves?

Oí there, I had a modding question :

If I mod a glove/forearm device/belt/[anything else than weapons] to give damages bonuses (+1D12 Fire, for example) or "if-touched" properties (like "If creature touched : Stun DD14), does it actually work? Or do the properties only work with weapons ? I know Attack and BBD bonuses may be used with any gear, but I really wonder about this very case.

Thanks in advance.
