Playable demo anytime soon?

just a thought, maybe one should scan the thread titles, before asking questions. not to be an ass or anything, but this was discussed, and the old thread would have prob answered all of your questions... if not, you could always use that one to ask one...

Well I figured there were some threads regarding a demo but at the time I just felt like asking the question in a "fresh" manner.
Maybe something relevant could have changed from the past threads pertaining to the demo.
But anyways I'll look now that I am informed.

Eventually, proportionally speaking, there will be more 'new' people on these forums then the regulars we see in the pre-release of this game. They might come in droves, they might trickle in one by one. Either way many of them will be inquiring minds with quite a few questions and chances are good that we might have dicussed their topics in detail long ago. It is unavoidable.

For the time being, if you, a forum regular, are dedicated to not seeing any redudancy within even the most ancient topics already discussed on the forums I suggest you helpfully link to the thread where a good dicussion has already taken place.

You can expect me to eliminate the most glaring redundancies in thread topics but for the most part this is done by threads made fairly recently within each other.

Sometimes there is still a chance that threads that are similar on the surface can exist simultaneously, provided the discussion there-in takes different approaches.

I am currently looking into perhaps establishing more concise official guidelines for the forums. You all will be the first to know.

Till then it would be appreciated if you could either link to the old demo thread here or continue with a demo discussion of some sort.

The demo for JK came out 2 months before the game in the UK. But this time Raven is building the game and even though LEC are in control they cannot tell Raven when to bring the demo out. I reckon it'll be out after the game is released, or maybe the PC issue before its released.

I asked that it be dropped. I think I responded thoroughly enough to allow any demo dicussion to continue. If you have any further comments or suggestions you can email me.

Speaking of demos....

Has anyone tried the ALien versus Predator 2 demo? I played it...conclusion...
great atmosphere like the original game....umm thats about it. Does anyone know if it uses the quake 3 engine?
