Mind-affecting

Hi!
What are mind-affecting effects anyway? I mean if I use MA immuniti granting gadgets, what will they protect me from?
Or is it better to priorize critical hits immunity giving accesories?
Thanks

Don't worry about it... npc rarely use mind affecting attacks.

To be fair, the AI rarely uses any Force power at all.

Well, in the game you aren't really affected by them. Generally it is you telling people to do things, good or bad. As far as I know, this cannot happen to you.

Mind-affecting effects are things that, as the name rather implies, mess with a character's mind in some way. A good example are the Fear/Horror/Insanity tier of Force powers, or some of the mind/beast-tricking ones from the second game.

Then you must not have played the game recently... it's quite common to see enemy Dark Jedi use at least several Force powers per fight. Horror/Insanity is a favorite of some of the higher-level ones; it's definitely worth wearing some protective items against mind-affecting effects.

Immunity to mind affecting also protects from stun which can save you character's butt if an enemy lands a lucky critical hit.

Never thought so. For me, they would always Force Push you around a little at the beginning of a battle, or maybe use Force Storm and religiously spell Force Drain when low at health. But most of the battle was just saber-rattle - Something in what you have quite the advantage, as your foes almost never buff themselves up.
