Wow!

It's only in German at the moment... I think, but it looks pretty damned impressive!

Good on them for actually finishing one of these projects. A lot of talent and hard work must have been involved!

Gee. Surely we should show some support by posting a news item about it, then?

LucasLegal?

(Actually, I think the game deserves a proper news writeup with history of the project, etc. but seeing as I don't speak German I don't feel qualified.)

Yeah, LucasLegal and no English version I believe were the two reasons nothing was brought up. I believe. I don't know, I don't care either way. Ž

Are there any German speaking staffers who could drop the team a note and see if they want the game featured or newsed on Mojo?

I would've News-ed it, but the lack of an English version as of yet procludes the enjoyment for a lot of people here.

And I keep forgetting whenever I'm at home.

Wait. I asked.

Btw thank you for makeing advertising of Adventure-Treff. Iīm no admin, but a member of this forum.

Edit:They are searching for english speakers. And it should be good! So, they canīt say, when it comes out in english. We must wait, too, if there is a new game in english.
So, you can post it on mixnmojo. I canīt. Or you can help to find english speakers.

How about a review in the game database.
Btw there is a folder with "t-shirt". You can print it and go to your next t-shirt maker.

Did I mentioned: David Fox and Al Lowe have both a speakers role in Zak 2!! And they worked on their own text in the game. And there are several guest parts in the game. (injokes)

If you wanted to review Zak 2, send it to me and I can put it up somewhere (as one of our features, if it's "good" enough!)

I'd be happy to edit your English (not that it's bad: it's rather good, but I can still edit it). Actually, a review that was partly in English and partly in German would be a really cool thing to have. German is HIP.

Haha! German Boy! You think "don't like" means it's good! Hoho!

I'm just kidding ya. Well...it's German. Hard to explain. Sort of like how Italian makes you hungry and French makes you wanna grab your girlfriend and land a good ol' smack on the lips?

(I'm kidding. I really have no idea.)

Aaaww please, come on! Donīt hesitate to contact german game-developers in English! Many of us are working with English software, are reading English tutorials for developing software and are active in international communities. Besides English is such a beautiful language.

Ah, yeah... and you canīt imagine how sorry weīre feeling for that! I wished we had been able to translate the game before the release.

Thanks for posting the news, I hope weīll be able to provide you an English version of zak:btas soon!

LOL. You guys did a great great job. You really don't have to say sorry! Ha! I can't believe you're apologising. "Sorry for doing you a favour."

But donīt ask me about LucasFan. *Where are you going LF?* No one knows, where he or they are.

As far as I know there is actually also an English version of the New Adventures of Zak McKracken (by LucasFan) available. Itīs a quite short and easy game and the graphics were ripped, but at least it is a complete game that works.

Zak McKracken: Between time and space
Watch out LucasArts there are a few fans, who can make it better.

April, 19th 2008. ZakMcKracken: between time and space was released. There was a release party in Collogne (germany). And there´s a limited edition of a DVD, but you can make it for yourself. There are components on the download folder for it.
This game took 7 years of development! A long time and much more time than a commercially adventure game. Without spending millions of dollars, you need for a commercially game. Zak McKracken 2 is the result of what you can create without the money. And with all this whole attention to detail, that you almost can´t see on new games, because of the high production costs!
It has no action-sequences, it´s a classic point and click adventure game with “eastereggs” about classic adventure games like Monkey Island and of course Zak McKracken and the alien mindbenders and other games. The sound and graphic are awesome for a non-commercially adventure, reminds me a little bit of Runaway. The chief graphic artist now draw for a commercially adventure game. It´s the 2D graphic I love in adventures. 2D adventures are the best adventure games such Monkey Island 3. And it has many animations and that´s unusual for a fan project. The puzzles are crazy like in the old LucasArts adventure games. And the game has two several difficulty levels. There are no Hotspot displays and in-game tips. It has many Hotspots and it´s a little bit hard for adventure beginners, but a paradise for old-school fans. The “Visionare” engine has sometimes a long loading time but that´s not bad for such a good freeware game. Visionare is a German game engine like AGS.
And it´ll give a directors cut version of the game with new technical changes, in-game changes and light changes of the story. And there will be an English version of the game. But you have to wait a little bit. Stay in touch.
To the story: At the beginning of the game Zak is on a new hot story, but than the plane, where he flies stays in the air and he hears some dark-sounding voices that anyone search him. On the next morning only a bump reminds him of his last flight. What was he up to? Where was he going...
Note: David Fox and Al Lowe have both a speaker role in Zak 2!

That´s my first review, so...
