^^ Agreed - I don't enjoy non-weapon fighting at all. I mean, c'mon, it's a Star Wars game - - I HAVE to use a lightsaber. I was annoyed with any part of the game that I needed a ranged weapon - blasters are for my non-Jedi party members.

On the contrary, I enjoy (as a darksider) facing down hordes of attacking, blaster-wielding enemies with nothing more than a full force gauge and force lightning!

Yes, using force powers are fun too... I only meant I don't enjoy the hitting and kicking involved with hand-to-hand combat when compared to wielding a lightsaber. As a LSer, I almost always have Kreia or Visas in my party to do the fun DS force powers. I usually start with a force wave of my own, set a few saber attacks, switch to Visas/Kreia and unleash DS force power fury. For the smaller battles I typically just go lightsaber with the occasional force usage for fun.

Yes, I agree. The hand-to-hand combat animations leave a good deal to be desired - especially that flurry animation where the character spins in the air!

The whole unarmed specialist feats were just a pointless bunch of crap. If I had a choice between unarmed and ONE bonus feat of choice... wouldn't give the unarmed thing a second thought.
Brianna was an Echani, but her training didn't extend beyond hand-to-hand. C'mon! I never event bothered to have her fight unarmed because hand-to-hand at its best didn't match a lightsaber at its worst.
Same thing goes for great items that can't be upgraded. I would rather have an upgradable vibrosword than the higher end, but not upgradable versions.

Yeah, and you could get those "Unarmed Accuracy Gloves." it's like... when are you ever unarmed in the game, apart from the first part of Telos?!
If I had people with blasters/lightsabers pointing my way, I'm hardly going to be all noble and say "how about a sparring match?" fact is - lightsabers are just always used.

The only other time after Telos is in the ring against the Mandalorians, but it's certainly not difficult or significant enough to warrant specialization/equipment for it.

If you use mods, or even just pick up stuff at random, sometimes you pick up some nice equipment to use in unarmed combat. However, myself, once I get things right, I just use stealth and use dominate mind, I think. Whichever of the force powers allows me to make one enemy into one of my allies, for a short while. It's fun collecting the xp from them, until they get themselves kilt.
When everything else fails, CHEAT!

I wonder if the developers really thought for a second that anyone was going to have Handmaiden fight unarmed rather than with her staff thingy.

I rather like those gloves... they fetch quite a bundle or components or credits. I never used the worthless things... that's what the lightsaber is for.

I sold like everything. I'd just get everyone to become a Jedi, and sell the armour. Some of that stuff cost a lot.

I sold a lot in K1, but I never had much need for credits in TSL. My first play-through I was hoarding all of my credits in case I wanted to buy something really expensive (like the crazy crystals in K1 - heart of the guardian, etc), but that opportunity never came in TSL. I just ended up with a ton of credits.

Honestly, I use KSE or the workbench to get all of the items I want (I standardise equipment!)
The unarmed combat is never used in my game - I always use force powers or swords and blasters as needed until I get a lightsabre.

I used the workbench quite a bit too, although I found it more of a nuisance than anything else. I mean I guess the upgrades were worth it, but it was annoying to have to do it. Perhaps I'm just lazy.

It was much better than K1. Those upgrades were worth almost nothing to blasters and melee weapons. I liked how you could modify the enhancement and have another resource to manage other than credits.

I always used the workbench. I loved upgrading weapons and armour, it made me feel secure maybe I'm just a nerd.

That's true - I should also mention that my first playthrough (I'm barely into my 2nd) was limited in time allotted for me to play. I basically had 4 nights to finish it. I was able to (it took me 55 hours over those 4 nights), and I didn't want to miss anything, so time consuming things (like manually leveling up each NPC and using a workbench or labstation) sometimes got on my nerves.
BTW, I was out of town on a business trip when I played the 14 hrs per day.
