ActiveX Crash

I keep having problems with an ActiveX control pop-up. Any suggestions?

I think this is a bit lacking of information. What kind of ActiveX control, what software, when does it happen etc.

Also, this belongs to the tech support center.

The forum software isn't using ActiveX for anything, so it must be coming from one of the advertising banners. Which ones are displaying when you have a problem?

IE6 uses ActiveX for AJAX (MSXML2.XMLHttp Object).

I was using IE7 at the time. Some of the ads were causing the forums to crash. I kept getting the ActiveX controller pop-up box. I went back to IE6 this morning. Maybe that will help. Sorry I didn't give more details before.
