Force Unleashed - The Movie
A lot of the reviews of force unleashed mentioned how awesome the story was. Most reviewers went as far to say that its story was vastly superior to any of the prequel movies. I'd like to start a discussion for those fans who would like to see the game made into a live action movie.
The more responses to this thread the greater the chance of seeing the force unleashed in a cinema sooner.

TFU will never be made into a movie because it already is the next chapter in the saga, supposed to be on the same level as the movies.

@ Darth Moeller:
They call everything the "next chapter in the Star Wars saga." I still don't think it's on the same level as the movies.
That aside, I do think the story is really awesome. When I heard it would tie the two trilogies together, I figured they were saying that just because it was some random story that took place between them. I didn't actually expect it to tie them together.

Now that's a great achievement...
Quite frankly, TFU story has been told, as far as I care.

I don't foresee that happening. Like Darth Moeller said, It was supposed to be on the level of the movies.
Maybe someone will string the video sequences together...

I am George Lucas. Your post made me realise I need to make a new movie. [/sarcasm]
No, really. Mr. Lucas has stated many, MANY times he just wanted to 'sketch' an universe, with other people (or the fans, in some cases) fill in the rest. The movies are his way of showing what SW is all about. Now the game designers, novel writers and comic artists handle the franchise from now on.
It's just the same case with Lord of the Rings. With Tolkien writing only about a certain time and certain characters, leaving others to fill the rest.
And this game is just that. 'Filling' up gaps, sketching more of the universe.

Why do people have an obsession with turning games into films? Isn't Uwe Boll enough to teach us the error of this?
Seriously, why would it need to be made into a movie? At least in game form *you* are the hero.

I agree with Astor and Ctrl Alt Del - there is absolutely no need to turn this game into a movie. The story is there, it has been explored, it has been brought to an end. And, as said, movies of games are generally...awful.
If another movie was to be made, I would rather see a new story - not a rehash of a story that has already been released and played through.

Personally, I think the only reason anyone ever thought TFU would make a good movie is the fact that it has nice cutscenes.

And Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, and Double Dragon, and Super Mario Bros., and the Resident Evil films, and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children... The list goes on and on. The fact that ninety-five percent of them have been crap should have told us something by now.
I'd say the same thing about superhero movies, but that's another topic.

I don't think they need to make The Force Unleashed into a movie. Now, Star Wars Episode 7 on the other hand SHOULD be made into a live-action movie.

IMO, with the cutscenes and the story line, TFU is a game and movie in one staring the player!
Hint: If you really want a movie, go to youtube and download all the 360 cutscenes and use a movie maker to paste them together. The cutscenes alone are a little over an hour long, and some videos on youtube also have the battle scenes.

I wouldn't. There's not really enough "good" info in the game, at least not enough to make a descent film.

I don't really see how TFU is the "next chapter". It doesn't really explain much of anything in the movies except where the Rebellion came from, and that's not very relevant to the movies. In the end, I don't think it matters whether it is the "next chapter" or not.

TFU is "not" the next chapter in Star Wars, it just a connecting the dots to the more important parts of the saga.

Personally, I'd love to see a movie of it, 'cuz it's about the only way my parents and friends are going to know or even care about the story.
Of course, they'd have to change the title.
But the thing I'd like to see much more than a Force Unleashed movie is a third trilogy. Oh, well, chances are neither one's a happening thing...
Chapter 12 of A Soul Adrift is out.
Short stories:
T'katlu: On the planet Felucia, a young apprentice of the Dark Side thinks back to the beginning of her training as she lies in wait for her prey...
All the Time: After four years in the Unknown Regions, the Exile returns to the known galaxy to visit an old enemy.
Broken: A master of the Dark Side finds himself about to lose the one thing he cares about--and he will do anything to stop her from endangering herself.

They may eventually decide to make an animated film. But the likes of a "live action film" are slim to none...

Well, Sam Witwer did say he'd be interested in some cameos in the forthcoming live action series as Starkiller, a not to feeble chance to see him since Starkiller is modeled after him and the time frame for the tv series is between ROTS and ANH, but this is as long as it will get to a TFU movie, Starkiller in the background among the bystanders passing by while on a mission for Vader.

The people in Hollywood should not do a movie if its going to be crappy (they do a lot anyways) and ruin a good game many people like, just like they did with DOOM.
But I doubt Lucas would allow another SW movie to be made, unless its an animated film, as LOTF mentioned

No, I do not. I would be more than happy to see a K3 released. I just don't see where it could be considered "the next chapter in the Star Wars saga."
I never meant to offend you.
TFU I don't think, was created to carry on the saga. If it was, then It didn't work...

Agreed. I believe it was a capitalisation on the interest in the time between Eps. III and IV.
KotOR, in my view, is the most original Star Wars games franchise about at the minute. Partially because it is writing completely new chapters of canon as it goes.
And I don't believe a TFU movie would be a worthy addition to the saga. As I wrote above, mainly because it is now an explored area, and there is little, it seems, that could be added.

They may make an animated film in the future. Then, it would have to be straight-to-DVD
But, yeah, TFU severed the ties between Episodes III and IV. If you want a movie, you make it

How, using Windows Movie Maker?
I think that the story is worthy of a small animated film as well. I mean, c'mon, there already are a comic, a book, the game, figures... Besides, IMHO it was way better then the animated Clone Wars movie (even if that was not that bad).
