Kyle Katarn's JK2 Lightsaber
Kyle Katarn's lightsaber from Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (and also JK3: Jedi Academy), now for K1 and TSL. This is a completely new mesh and texture made by me - not a port. The saber is upgradeable and comes with a custom colour crystal.
The K1 hilt has the following base stats:
Damage: Energy, 2-16
Critical Threat: 17-20,x2
Attack Modifier: +2
Defense Bonus: 2
The TSL hilt has the following base stats:
Damage: Energy, 2-20
Critical Threat: 17-20,x2
Attack Modifier: +2
Defense Bonus: 2

N.B. One thing I forgot to mention in the TSL readme is that there is some minor clipping occasionally with the hand holding the hilt (as you can see in the K1 dual wielding pic). This varies depending on the sex of the wielder (mostly left hand for males, right hand for females) and the armour/robes/clothes being worn. It invariably occurs when dual wielding. Basically the hand helpers are gimped in a lot of cases and the only way to avoid clipping altogether is to scale the hilt down to the size of a pencil. I've endeavoured to keep the clipping relatively minor whilst still retaining the proportions of the original hilt it is modelled after.

That was a great game. Its nice to see someone incorperate that into this one.
However... Is it a full lightsaber with a seperate crystal or is it just a crystal that makes the lightsaber say Kyle's.

It is a completely new model, styled after the one in JK2/JK3. You can see pictures of it in the first post. Putting the crystal into another hilt will change it into the Katarn hilt. |
