I still play GoldenEye and Perfect Dark on my N64 from time to time... though I have to play it on the old rear projection tv in the other room cause you can't see **** when playing it on my hdtv.

I know how to view 4:3 on my HDTV, I'm not dense XD

The thing is that HDTVs are very bad at displaying interlaced video and even worse at displaying interlaced video from a composite video connector. Not to mention the fact that the video output on the N64 is actually 320x240 upscaled to 640x480 to begin with... do I really need to go on?

Bottom line is, these older games were designed to be played on older TVs... and they look better on older TVs than they do on newer ones.
