So as anyone who follows my Twitter feed is aware today is quite the auspicious day in my life. Tonight at 10:49:57 p.m. EST the Kepler mission
will launch from Cape Canaveral to begin it's 3.5 year search for Earth-like planets in our Galaxy.
This is relevant to my life because I have spent the better part of the last two years working on this satellite, writing the software to aid the personnel who are operating the spacecraft.
There is more information on the mission as well as a countdown to launch here.
Tune in to NASA TV
in just over 10 hours to see the beginning of NASA's first mission capable of finding other Earths.
