Mical Head Reskin

I wanted to make some facial hair for a TSL character, so I decided to give good ol' tubby a makeover.

I think the jaw to chin part looks passable but I'm having trouble with the upper lip; the model has such a strange curve on that part. Any suggestions? I also think the DS transitions are a little weak but I didn't want a zombie extravaganza either.

The facial hair looks like you've just painted it on with one of the patterned brushes.

If you use the method for facial hair described in this tutorial here, you'll get much more aesthetically pleasing, and more satisfying results.

Hmm, I actually don't think the facial hair looks that bad... and I really like the new-look mical! Nice job

Thanks guys. I used that technique, Marius, and ended up with something pretty much the same as before . Not really, it looks "lighter" (mugshot 1 and 3); though I don't know if that fits Mical, he seems to have more thick hair. I also added some grey to his hair, might have been too much though.

I guess I'll tinker with it.

Hey Animus, good to see another try his hands at modding these wonderful games.

On the reskin: I'd say it needs some work, but I already like it more than the original Mical. Experiment with your painting program, try some of its effects. You'll get great results if you try enough. About the DS transition: perhaps try to make his skin even paler. Also, in my opinion, yellow eyes work much better than red eyes. Some purple veins and veins in the eyes could also do the job. Take a look at some of the other modders who did DS transitions for inspiration.

Keep it up!

As Mical was supposed to be younger than the Exile - seeing that he was supposed to be trained by her - I don't see the need for the grey hair.

Everything else is interesting.

Considering trying out (or returning to) SWTOR? You may as well go through my link and help get me some SWTOR referral points!
