In this third episode we talk about what games we are playing lately, our favorite Star Wars games, the future of LucasArts gaming, the best and worst games we've ever played, the geekiest Star Wars-related things we've ever done, and much more!
We promise to get Boba Rhett on for a future podcast.
Blooper
leXX's giggling is really infectious. xD

This was probably the best cast yet, I spewed tea all over my keyboard from laughter though...
Show spoiler
Lynk is an indecisive bastage ..."because it's fun"
Great azns think alike, I'm with Niner on this one, TIE Fighter, best SW game ever, and Chrono Trigger. Best. Game. Ever.
I <3 leXX and her filthy British mouth XD
Also Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire was quite possibly the first SW game I played. And maybe for that reason, it is actually sitting on my desk as I type.
"Women are like sunsets… they’re beautiful, but there will be a different one tomorrow." - Gilder
You know, I shouldn't have listened to the blooper section while driving--I laughed so hard my eyes ran again.
From MST3K's spoof of "Hercules Unchained"--heard as Roman medic soldiers carry off an unconscious Greek Hercules on a 1950's Army green canvas stretcher: "Hi, we're IX-I-I. Did somebody dial IX-I-I?"
Yeah I got your message. I will put a retraction in the next episode. It's hard sometimes when you are trying to drive the conversation along. All I have to look at is an outline. Also I was thinking about Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and Quake II: online which I originally wanted to include in the cast. I got all of them jumbled together and said something stupid. Sorry about that.
The Angry Video Game Nerd on Bible Games. You have been warned.
this could have been funny, but the swearing just sounds forced.
left behind: my palm was glued to my face the entire time...
i havnt read/seen left behind... ive only read a graphic novel, and that was interesting. i hadnt heard of the game before this. i always thought that if they made a game, wouldve been an adventure-rpg thing, but... an rts.... WHAT??!
*sigh* when are they going to make a decent bible/ bible influenced game in which you can do things like take part in the epic final war in heaven, smashing the living snot out of demons in spectacular hd glory?
perhaps a spy-like rpg, where you could be angels in human form carrying out missions in a dark, modern setting.
or even a hacknslash guardian angel thing where you get to protect your very own snotnosed kid from evil... the possibilities are endless, yet we get such facepalmworthy titles like "baby moses" and "noahs ark".
@ mav: I'm not indecisive, I just acknowledge that different things are just as awesome as each other for different reasons.
Besides... Rhett was meant to be on this show and not me. I was called up in the very last second to replace him when he didn't show up. I was flying blind that entire show and didn't know what the hell we were talking about half the time...

^Well I'm glad they called you up...any possibility of you being on future shows?
I just started a new job which happens to fall on the recording date for the podcast x.x so I think the next few episodes won't have me at all until we can work out some other time to record the casts........ which is a HUGE problem because the time we've set the recording seems to be the ONLY time which is good for everyone... except me now XD
(In fact, right in the middle of the podcast I got a call asking to confirm my referees from the place I work now, and then right after the podcast recording while I was playing RE5 with Groov they called back and said I got the job lol)
For the next episode on, we refuse to mention "Resident Evil 5". I realize we have gummed that one to death (but it's so damn fun!). So from here on out, it shall be known as "the game that shall not be mentioned".

I enjoyed this episode a lot keep up the good work guys. There definatley was a lot of KOTOR mentions in this one but heck its KOTOR one of the best Star Wars games in the last 10 years how can you not go without talking about it lol.
I would say my all time favourite SW games are a mix and can't put one over the other either is Jedi Outcast or Battlefront as I played those ones a lot and can't make a choice.
Just finished listening to Ep3 - great stuff again ! Loved the Red Squadron call in Lexxy's 'geeky star wars' stories were fantastic
I was pleased that a couple of my questions were used, though I guess the mentioning of my name must have been cut out due to swearing that must have accompanied it...
Just a couple of tiny errata items, the ship you fly in Rebel Assault II is not the actual Falcon, but is the cargo vessel 'Corellia Star' - though it is the same type of ship of course(YT1300). There is also an opening crawl in RA2 as well. I have a soft spot for the FMV era, which is why I remember it so clearly
Plus Bluray is on the rise, DVD is strong but a lot of people who have invested in HD capable equipment are buying Bluray discs.
PC users are naturally moving down the BR path. MS has already released a BR Mastering API, and through third party partner apps like Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 and Arcsoft Total Media BR movie playback is used by many htpc users. The final, and likely most significant slice of the PC BluRay userbase will come when BR writing drives drop below $100 and gaming devs start publishing titles on BR.
Groovy beat Rebel Assault II in 2 hours? I got stuck at the TIE Fighter in some canyon level, and the level where you're in a B-Wing shooting at waves of TIEs (I think). Can't rememebr 100%, but holy cow it's been awhile.
Sorry for the late response(i've been gone a while, having some Star Wars hatred growing inside) but excellent episode! Dark Forces III would make me crap my pants! Right on the spot arguments from everyone! It looks like LA has gone the path of CN(Cartoon Network, which was great in the 90s...). A very perfect answer to my question! SUPREME KUDOS!
