How about a discussion on the state of the global economy?
Seriously, I would to hear everyone's back stories on how they got involved in LFN and Lucasforums, it would be a great trip down memory lane !

They did this to some extent in their Ep1 intros. (IIRC>) Lynk and Niner from the mists of RSN/XWA, Grooves and Lexx came for JK2, Jae and Moels for KOTOR, which you can pretty much tell from their join dates anwyay
It'd be interesting to hear from the pre 2002 members what LFN was like before it was actually LFN in its current form. In 2002, things were definitely hectic.....people were arguing and flaming, but it was all about the game (eg. JK2 > bowing in MP!) rather than the broader social topics This of course is LAs fault for not giving us enough decent games to argue about
A couple of other questions Im sure many others would be interested in:
What type of link does LFN have with LA?
Has anyone from LFN ever been invited to Skywalker Ranch?

I haven't been paying too close attention lately so maybe no one has gone to anything lately, but a few years back when E3 was still large we (lfn) always had some people go and pretend to be journalists. Granted E3 small now compared to what it used to be, but it might be interesting for anyone to talk about recent, or even past, con experience if it relates to gaming/lfn.

Well let's see.
The modern evolution of PC gaming: Modding, hacking, and all the nerdgasmic "norm" that is our modern electronic culture online and offline.
M.U.G.E.N. (if you even know what that is).
Good reads.
Modern gaming.
Retro gaming.
Underground music.
Cartoons.
Anime.
Errhm, count three for porn.
What will the term "clockwise" mean as more and more clocks become digital?
Do we cut ourselves off from the outside world having online lives?
Relationships for geeks and nerds: do others love us or do we fall in love with each other?
Just some ideas...

I'd like to see something on gaming as a family. I can't have the only geeky family on the planet where we play D&D or Guild Wars online together.

I agree. If i have time i play video games with my family and friends.
But another topic i would also like to suggest would be like most favorite games and most difficult games you had trouble with or something related to trouble like terrible games you would not recommend.
in that i think it would be good to give the gaming community opinions, suggestions of games people would like or not.
Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2 Mod Project Leader and Console and PC Gamer
Games i'm looking forward to:
-Red Faction Guerrilla
-Fallout New Vegas
-Diablo 3

Im sure other such families exist, but theyre not entirely prevalent. I personally dont know any myself, but given the community I'm from, thats not entirely surprising My old man is more interested in his tomatoes than anything else

Even if they didnt, Im pretty sure their computer has google on it Retro gaming fans love their MUGEN. There's even a star wars flavour of mugen which is pretty fun if youre into old school

Not exactly a topic suggestion, but you guys need some soundbites. Every time someone says a certain buzzword, a line from a movie is played. Yes.

Mm... not necessarily. Radio stations do it all of the time, and I doubt that they would get into any serious trouble, espeically on the Internets.

Music.
In games (your fave game scores...); music you might play (not actually the in game score) while playing; and just personal listening (your fave bands, and new albums or concert tours you are looking forward to this year.)
And who plays an instrument? (I seem to remember discussing guitars with Rhett a while back... and wasn't Groovy in a band?)
Color me curious...
(BTW: IMHO Grim Fandango STILL is one of the best game scores ever! The Only vid game score I ever bothered to track down all the music for. How I miss LucasArts heyday... *sniff* )

I like the soundbites idea. I actually suggested that from the git go, and from what I understand, it is not all together impossible either. We got a treat for all you Star Wars geeks in Episode 3. Stay tuned!

Yeah... that sums me up pretty good these days too.
I have a job that keeps me busy a lot of hours, and I own a house and have to deal with all the resulting responsibilities that come with that.
I just don't have the kind of time these days to put in to be a top-notch gamer anymore... but that doesn't mean that when I can find time I wouldn't want to be doing that over just watching TV.
Anyway...

That was a good one.
I was thinking more of Grim Fandango again, though. The scene with Lola... when Glottis gets sick... the end...
That really was an amazing game.
And I haven't personally gotten there yet... but I gather that the end of Mass Effect is amazing, and a bit of a mind-**** as well...

Here's a BIG one (perhaps enough for an entire show):
Game controversies...
- Dealing with gaming critics and haters.
- Adult content in games. (I.E: Sex and graphic violence.)
- Deep, and possibly disturbing subject matter, and making moral/ immoral decisions in games (Bioshock, GTA...)
- Pros and cons of rating systems.
- Censorship.
- Taking the evil path in games.
- Are we running the risk of becoming desensitized because of it all? Or is that merely the same accusation just being rehashed after being used on every previous popular new media to come along? (Radio, movies, comic books, TV, rock-and-roll, the internet...)

The gaming industry is near-recession proof, not sure there would be much to talk about. Well, the game companies are not, as people are getting laid off, but consumers aren't buying any less games than in the past.

Way to go on the double post.
Wasn't shem a filefront manager or something?
How about the impact of alcohol on gaming? I find myself *alot* better when drunk on games like Halo 3 or GRAW, but absolutely shocking on others like Guitar Hero/Rockband, tetris etc.
Or even better-
discuss.

Hi New to the forums,
I hope in future episodes you do talk about other past achievements from LucasArts cause its not just about Star Wars. It would be great to hear what you guys thought of the point n' click genre and do you think they should make a return.
I still have hope for a Monkey Island 5 hopefully for next year as it will be Monkey Islands 20th anniversary in 2010.

Whereas I disagree, and think you look it right now.
They could mention it, but there's nothing really to discuss. It's going down, it's unfortunate, the community will band together and move on.
End of topic, boring podcast.
I still think that you should talk some more about general technological advances that are occurring, and more technology topics since we've now covered "favorite game" thoroughly.
Piracy on the game market comes to mind.
