I/O Device Error.

I use to play a very long time ago, and i had put KotOR 1 on my pc in 2006, and when i changed hard drives, and decided to put it back on my PC, it won't load because of an I/O Device error. the message reads

Component: Cabs US
File Group: SWCABS US
File: D:\data2.cab
Error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

If anyone has some tips or a way to fix this, please tell me!

thanks

Have you check the disk(s) for dirt and scratches?

"They should rename the team to the Washington Government Sucks. Put Obama on the helmet. Line the entire walls of the stadium with the actual text of the ACA.
Fix their home team score on the board to the debt clock, they can win every game 17,000,000,000,000 to 24. Losing team gets taxed by the IRS 100%, then droned."

Yeah, there are some minor scratches, but other than that its all clean. But for some reason my data2.cab file is messed up.
