Played that one too. However, Magnavox Odyssey came out in '72, several years before Pong hit the shelves. Odyssey wins.

Yar's Revenge on the Atari 2600. Apparently that makes me older than some but not as old as others

Oregon Trail was probably the first game I played...

Not old, well seasoned.
I’m also having serious doubts about Jae’s professed age of 29 when she is bragging about a game system that came out in 1972. Something does not add up here.

The first game I played was mario 64, I don't think it counts because it was about 4-6 years till I could play a video game from start to finish without asking someone to play for me. The first one I played without help was probably Battlefront atleast it was the first from start to finish, I can't remember which was the first I started then gave up on.

That game was so awesome... until one of the characters broke their leg or got flu or died of radiation poisoning or something because once one of them died then you knew the entire expedition was doomed. I never did make it to Oregon...

First computer game I ever played was this Seasme Street thing when I was five years old. I'm pretty sure that doesn't qualifiy, so my first real game was Age of Empires.
My first non-computer game (on a console, in my case the XBOX) was actually KotOR.

Haha, I guess I'm with Jae then. I got the Odyssey just day's after it's release! Though my first game was Shooting Gallery or Basketball. I don't paticulary remember which!

For PC is was Zork, no graphics so us kids back then had to have really big imaginations
