Yoko Kanno <3 (Favourite Soundtracks/Composers)
Yoko Kanno is easily my favourite anime composer. I think she is just a genius, and I can't get enough of her music. Ever since I first heard the brilliant Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, I've been a HUGE fan.

She is definitely the best, though for some reason the only tracks of hers I have in my music library are from Macross Frontier and I rarely listen to them. I'll have to get some of her other stuff. But I agree that both Bebop and GitS OSTs are great.

I actually don't care for that song very much, it's pretty repetitive and blah.
Lithium Flower, however, is all kinds of awesome.

Listened to all of it, and it's okay, but nowhere near Kanno standard imo. I'll need to listen to it a couple more times though. Stand out tracks for me are 'Valley of Mist' and 'Fear'.

I'm 'acquiring' it.
Edit: I actually own Macross Plus the Ultimate Edition, so I really don't why I never got the soundtrack before. After listening to all of them now, I have to say they are completely awesome. Stand out tracks for me are MYUNG Theme, Voices, Idol Talk, Go Ri A Te, and my favourite is definately Pulse.

Yoko Kanno was pretty good on Macross Frontier but it can't be a composer thread without Iwasaki Taku:
