"Okay, well, thanks anyways. I'll be here, killing the undead. " Sam said. He hung up and drove for a while longer, until he made it to a village.
Noone was here, excluding an old Babushka. Stepping out, he asked for directions in his Russian. She did nothing but snarl at him, then lunged at him, smashing her fist into Sam's face.
Sam returned the favor with a knife. Then the village came out, they were all the same. He wouldn't be surprised if this was the picture all over Russia.

Deep thought #1: In the end, everyone dies. No one can outrun time, death itself is always breathing down your neck, just waiting to slip the noose over you. But, in your time of death, what matters is not when or how or even why. What matters is what you do with it. Do you sit down and call it quits, or do you get up, stare your killer and death itself in the face, and laugh copiously, right until the end.

Xero Wolf:
He runs to the edge of the woods and comes across a village where he sees the inhabitants gathering in the middle.

"I wonder if this suit has a diagnostic setting to help me see whats going on at a distance." said Xero to himself.

"Voice activation accepted: Running diagnostic. Sir, it appears that all but one of the current inhabitants are infected." said a female voice inside the suit.

"Whoa, can you understand me? What are you?" said Xero talking back to the suit.

"I am a Artificial Inetelligence Recon Armor, but you may AIRA." said the suit.

"You know my father never had much imagination when it came to naming." said Xero to the suit.

"what do you mean, sir?" asked AIRA.

"He named me Xero, hows that for imagination, replace the "Z" in Zero and plance an "X" in its place. Real imaginative." he replied.

"Sir, the infected are moving in on the survivor!" alarmed AIRA, "His odds of survival are calculated to be up to 60% judging from his stature, skill at hand-to-hand combat but eventually he will tire out."

"What if I helped?" asked Xero.

"Recalculating: The odds of survival are boosted, but after doing a thorough scan of the area there seems to have been an increase of infected, some of which are very large in size and have dropped your odds to now 40%." said AIRA.

"Then you underestimate him and myself. I'm going over to help." said Xero as he begins to run toward the village.

"I just want you to know that you may not survive if you do this." said AIRA.

"Duely noted." said Xero.

He runs as fast as he can and draws his sword. Nearing the village, he jumps up higher than any normal human-being, his trench coat flutters loudly in midair, then he lands on an infected and surfs the body through the croud while slicing up the others around him. Then, when he starts to lose momentum, he jumps back into the air and land next to the survivor; cracking the ground as be makes his landing.

Finally...a survivor. "Xero Wolf: at your service, stranger." he said to the survivor.

Sam looked at the man in the armor.
"Introductions will wait 'til we've cleared this place out." Sam said, then continuing to shoot at the zombies until he'd exhausted the ammo for his P90. He pulled out his Desert Eagle's and fired dual wielding until the horde disappeared.
"Xero, My name is Sam Larson. Major, USMC. At your service." Sam said.

Xero curb stomps a downed zombie and pulls out his two S&w .500 Magnum revolvers and duels his way further into the action. A loud roar grabs his attention.

A large creature comes bursting out of the woods roaring loudly.

"What is that thing, Sam?!" yells Xero aiming his revolver at it.

"Brute. Dangerous, deadly, stupid as a nail" Sam said to Xero. Sam lifted up his Desert Eagle and shot a few rounds, finding the snow made his sight bad.
"Shoot the head, no different than a normal zombie." Sam informed him. While Xero was busy with the Brute, Sam went to his jeep to find a rifle.

"I have a plan." said Xero.

He pulled out his sword and ran at the brute. The brute charged at him roaring loudly. Xero jumped into the air as the brute swung at him, and stabbed it in the shoulder. Xero rode the creature, while trying to reload his gun. It thrashed back and forward trying to get him off. He shot the creature in the back of the head. As it was falling Xero jumped off holding his sword backwards, gun smoking, and blood dripped into the snow from the sword. He twirled his gun and holstered it.

He walked back toward the jeep twirling his sword to clean the blade of blood.
Shortly after he met Sam at the jeep he retracted his helmet to reveal his face.

"Nice guns. Got any .50 Cal Sniper Rifles?" asked Xero sliding his sword into its sheath.

"It's bad"

Smith gave the Russian a look that said quite plainly "duh!" before getting out of the seat he'd migrated towards during the phone call. "Well, you're going to be searching for some of the scientists? If you need an extra gun, I'm in... I figure I can get my company to pay my expenses or, failing that, I can just become a free agent again."

Smith looked at Doc Wilson, "you know, Vlad, we have an advantage right here. Doc Wilson here is one of the scientists who was involved in the project, I'm willing to be he was a major part of it too considering the neat abilities he's discovered he has... We could pick his brain for some of the history of the project and then use what you know to reconstruct a list of doctors involved. If you know where the original lab was and if it's still standing we could also raid the place to see if there was anything remaining that we could use.... and if there's anybody from the project who's still alive that would know we could always.... persuade them...."

Smith looked up from his hands. "If any case, we've got to get our asses moving before the zombies decide that this would make a good target, cause my guess would be that they're going to be crawling out of the woodwork pretty damn soon....." he looked at Shayla. "And we've got to make sure that Shayla doesn't get the Real-Estate deal, I'd rather not have to deal with an enraged Atrianna without Larson in range to redirect her anger." Smith grinned, weakly, talking about kids dying was a sure way to depress anybody.

".50 cal's? Nothing but my Eagles" Sam said, pulling back his jacket to show his slightly modified Desert Eagles."Technically its a .50AE, but it's close enough." Sam dug through his large selection, eventually settling on a SCAR. He pulled out 7 mags for himself, enough for a good amount of shooting, but enough left over for his other rifles of similar caliber.
"You need anything? Your pretty good with that sword, and you can definitely use it in a jiffy, but I find it smarter to take them out from afar before running in." Sam said. He opened his other trunk, showing his collection of Pistols and SMG's.
(This is the part where you choose one. HINT)

Frank Wilson turned his head to look over at Smith.

"By picking my brain I do hope you mean asking me some questions. Well from what I can remember, the lab was in Russia. I don't really remember the names of the other scientists. Being the only American there meant they usually excluded me from things and avoided conversation with me. I will be glad to assist both you and Vlad in where ever we may go."

Shayla lightly punched Smith on the shouler.

"For your information I've already been in nearly seven life or death situations in the past year."

(lol ok)

He inspects the guns thoroughly, then looks up at Sam holding up the SMGs, "What type of SMG are these? I've never seen them before."

"Sure," he said. "So you've been in seven 'life-or-death' situations in the psat year. But, do you know what these things are llike? I don't know how much your mother has told you about Chicago, but it was the scariest time of my life. It wasn't that we were being shot at, no, if we were bitten we would become one of them. Mindless, controlled, killers.

"I think I've talked about Chicago more in the past day than I have the rest of the past three years combined." He sighed. "I know that the Army feared that I would become a psychopath because of the effects of Chicago.... I was able to avoid the shrink, but just barely." He paused before realizing how this would probably sound to Shayla. "This isn't to scare you off from coming with us, but to tell you what it will be like. You're old enough to make you're own decisions, but I can't see you wanting to have a pair of forty-somethings and Doc Wilson for company." He caught Doc Wilsom making a rude gesture towards him and grinned in response.

"And, yes, Wilson. Picking your brain is asking you some very involved questions."

"Just a few Uzis, modified, MP5's, also modified, and this puppy..." Sam said, pulling out a Heckler & Koch submachine gun. "this is an MP7, 4.7x30mm, gas operated, rotating bolt, fully automatic, unless otherwise selected, nine-fifty rounds a minute, and a 40 round mag." Sam finished off, over exagerating his breath.
"I got two of these." Sam said, thinking of duel wielding mayhem.

"If any case, we've got to get our asses moving before the zombies decide that this would make a good target, cause my guess would be that they're going to be crawling out of the woodwork pretty damn soon....."

"Da. I'm waiting for Tovarisch Yuri to respond, with good news, like support from the Kremlin...which is doubtful, but my credability has tripled in value due to Chicago, so you never know. I'm surprised they haven't recalled me to Moscow yet..."

"And we've got to make sure that Shayla doesn't get the Real-Estate deal, I'd rather not have to deal with an enraged Atrianna without Larson in range to redirect her anger." Smith grinned, weakly, talking about kids dying was a sure way to depress anybody.

Vlad raised an eyebrow and had a confused look on his face.

"Real..Estate Deal? Uhhh..."

It took him a little to get their meaning, even if he had been speaking english often, and getting used to their customs, slang in general was hard to pick up for him.

"Oh yeah, of course, wouldn't want that to happen. She has enough people on her list to kill."

"For your information I've already been in nearly seven life or death situations in the past year."

Vlad listened carefully to what Smith said in response to that, and nodded in agreement with him.

"You have a lot of spirit, Shayla, like your mother...but what happens in battle, in war, or any form of combat, especially with the undead, can never really be explained and understood. This would be a good experience for you, if you wished to help in fighting these creatures. That, or it could be pretty boring for you young people. And Smith, it's just 4-0, not forty-something....don't remind me." Vlad chuckled after that last bit.

"And, yes, Wilson. Picking your brain is asking you some very involved questions."

"Actually, Wilson, we meant dissecting you," Vlad smiled after the sarcastic remark.

Frank sighed in relief and nodded his head.

"I'll try to help you as much as I can."

"Actually, Wilson, we meant dissecting you,"

He smiled a bit, knowing that Vlad was kidding.

"I'll have to pass on that, Getting killed once is enough times for me."

Atrianna's cargo plane roared across the Pacific as it headed back toward Japan at full speed.

Atrianna sat next to the hummer, idly playing with a pistol she had stolen from the back of the truck.

"We're going to need everyone else with us for this. Vlad, Smith, everyone. We might even have to take Shayla into action against them this time. If what Aiden said is true then New York was most likely a testing ground for the new virus."

She turned back toward the pilot.

"Estimated time to Kyoto?"

"Five hours ma'm."

Good.

"I'll take two MP5s." said Xero.

"I've gathered that there're zombies running around but what's exactly is going on? Where did they come from?" asked Xero.

Suddenly he fell to his knees holding his wounded shoulder from earlier.

"Sir my sensors indicate that you are infected on a large scale yet your mind and body seem to be unchanged i am scanning your body to see why." said AIRA.

"What's...happening? My...shoulder is burning!" he struggled to say in pain.

Sam watched Xero writhe in pain.
"You've been infected!! My GOD!! I have the cure, somewhere." Sam said, running to the Jeep to look for the vial of brownish liquid that should kill the Virus. He found it in the glove compartment.
He ran back. "Xero, hold still!" Sam yelled, holding him down so he could administer the cure.
Xero slowly stopped squirming.
"You should be healed now. I'm gonna tell you a story..." Sam began.
A few minutes later...
"And that's everything, and, if you meet Vlad, don't hold it against him. He's a nice guy, underneath all that Russian fury of his" Sam chuckled.

Vlad laughed, "Da...indeed, that is something I can agree with."

He then looked at Shayla.

"Shayla, do you have anything to contact your mother with? We'll want to know what she's up to if we're going coordinate a counter-strike."

Shayla threw Vlad a cellphone which he grabbed from out of midair.

"Number is 255-3635. Mom says to use it only in an emergency."

Plane

Atrianna knelt down against the ground and narrowed her eyes at the mysterious sound that was now echoing through the cargo deck.

What the hell is that? Sounds like something is moving down there.

A moment later, it clicked.

I...brought down the plane...and no one checked the lower deck!

"Battle Stations! We've got company!"

A hand punched through the deck and was instantly shot off by a blast from her Tactical 12 gauge.

"They're on the plane! We have intruders on the plane!"

Breaking into quick action, this time Aiden ran forward and tried to find someone with a weapon. It just happened to be the same guard from earlier.

"Give me a weapon, damn it, I've got better aim than you!" Aiden said to the big burly man. The guard flinched. And handed him a pistol. The statement was undoubtedly true, however, and Aiden intended to make good on that statement.

"Thank you," said Aiden with false gratitude, and caught up to Atrianna, who was shooting some of the zombies trying to get into the plane.

Taking down one of them with a headshot, he turned to her. "What do we do now?" It was indeed a very valid question, as they were stuck aboard a plane that had likely just landed in the midst of a zombie-overrun installation. What a wonderful day this was turning out to be.

"What do we do now?"

"Now...we shoot and hope that they don't screw up the plane any more then they already did. We're already losing the ability to stay in the air and we're right over Kyoto."

She looked through the window, momantarily distracted.

"There's the house. I can see it from there."

She heard a groan behind and fired without looking, blowing a brute back down into the hole from wence it came.

"You. Get a parachute and get your girlfriend out of here. My team'll be following you down to make sure they don't follow you. I'll handle matters up here."

Atrianna tossed her team and Aiden and his girlfriend each a chute.

"Go! Go! Go! Move it as fast as you can!"

"No, you'll be normal-ish. You're just gonna be bombarded with voices. Or, at least, Aiden was. He's the first hybrid, he was partly controlled by the Hive-Mind, the thing that made the undead be so smart." Sam explained to Xero. Then he handed him the MP5's and ten mags.
"You know how to use it, right?" Sam said, sarcastically.

Vlad took the cell phone.

"Thanks.."

He dialed the number quickly and sent the call.

"Now..all we need is for her to pick up...and not be in a dead zone...now that...was a really really bad pun..."

It was so bad, Vlad didn't laugh, he'd have to work on his jokes.

Atrianna's cell phone had been ringing but she had been too busy trying to deal with the sneakiest brute she had ever seen.

"Hold still!"

The Brute ducked below the blast and tried running up to her again only to have it's head blown open when she had reaquired her target.

"Hello?" She shouted over the gunshots.

Oh boy...Just went right over the house. I wonder if Shayla saw me go over the house. Be funny as hell if Vlad did.

"Yes i do, i prefer swords though so i may not use them as much." said Xero.

"Whoa what about my abilities? You know, running fast and jumping high like i did." said Xero quickly remembering that he had just been cured.

"Sir, if i may interject." said AIRA, "That was all me."

"You?" Xero asked.

"Yes." AIRA replied.

"So let me list them off." Xero said.

"Super speed?"

"Me."

"Super Jumps?"

"Still me."

"Huh...ok so what abilities would i have had as a hybrid?" asked Xero.

"Readings indicate that your chest would have split open and tenticles would have extened from your body and you would probably mutated on a massive scale." AIRA said, "Also, I have other capabilities if you would like me to list them off."

"Huh...?" Xero started.

"Here is the list of what is left: Super strength which is what causes you to dig up the ground when you run. You can fly, but this is only recommended if you need to make a quick get away and only need to fly a short distence. You shoot liquid nitrogen from the palms of the suit which freezes on contact." she listed.

"That's it?" asked Xero.

"Yes." she replied.

"Was my dad planning on me going into a zombie war or something?" asked Xero.

"I do not know sir, there is no record of him being involved in the first incident and it is not possible to be responcible for this one. However, I am only programmed with data that he wanted you to know, you may want to ask the suvivors from the previous incident if they came in contact or encounter your father." AIRA said.

"Sam? Do you know if my father was involved in the creation of these things in the first incident? His name is Samuel Crypmaw, he was a scientist.

"Hello?"

Vlad was about to answer, right as the sound of roaring jet engines deafened what he was going to say.

What is a large jet like that doing here? Kyoto has restricted airspace in this residential sector...

"Attriana, that wouldn't happen to be you who just flew above us...I've gotta very strong feeling that it is."

"Attriana, that wouldn't happen to be you who just flew above us...I've gotta very strong feeling that it is."

She fired off another round at another one of the creatures.

"Yes! Busy! Can't talk right now! Snuck on the plane! Gotta go!"

She watched as Aiden, his girl friend and her solders all jumped out of the plane with parachutes attached.

She then took a quick look at the vehicle.

It has a parachute...

"Yes! Busy! Can't talk right now! Snuck on the plane! Gotta go!"

And just like that she hung up.

"Hmmm...well, good news is, she's very close, very very close...but something happened, and I think she stole a plane.."

Well, at least that's what I think, certainly something she would do, not very clear on what was happening, but anyway, she'll be back soon...

"I'll be back."

Vlad walked quickly outside and took out a pair of binoculars from his bag, and began searching the skies for the inevitable sign of a plane probably going out of control...or parachutes.

"Sam Cryptmaw, eh? Hmmmm... Ich weiss nicht, er I don't know. Lemme call Vlad." Sam said, pulling out his cell and dialing. The busy tone soudned.
"Damn." Sam swore. "He's busy, but I think Vlad is one of the last scientists, next to a Frank Wilson, to have been involved in the Virus and still be alive. I think your father just likes to be prepared."
"Now, these MP5's have been modified, I don't know if I told you that. They now fire .45 ACP's instead of 9x19mm's. Other than that, there's no major difference."

"Nah my father is dead and my mother. I never knew what they were in to, only that they were scientists. Both murdered by my brother, but i dont wanna talk about it right now." said Xero.

He strapped the SMGs to his lower back.

"Look i dont wanna sound pushy or any thing but, we need to get goin'. staying in one place too long attracts unwanted attention. Do you know of anyone who can give us shelter?" asked Xero.

"In russia? No, no one here who'd give us shelter, wait a minute. Ofcourse, Yuri. He might be willing to help." Sam pulled out his cell and dialed Yuri's number.
Ring-ring...
Ring-ring...
. . . . . .
Jaden sat and listened to his I-pod, full of heavy metal to motivate him to his Kick-butt mode.
"Sir, there's a group of Civies down on the ground. Their fending off a horde." THe pilot called back.
"Take out the horde, bring in the civies." Jaden ordered. They set down and unloaded some lead from their Vulcans and their Ma Deuces. After a few minutes, the horde was nothing more than a bloody smear and twitching parts.
The civilians gratefully boarded the Chinook.
"Thanks, for saving us. My name is Zoey." said the brown haired girl.

In a rush to exit the besieged plane, Aiden took a moment to consider whether Atrianna would need his help or not, and then he grabbed Eve's arm and bailed. She rolled her eyes and followed him to the door. Some soldier handed them very heavy backpacks.

"Put these on."

Easier said than done. Taking a couple of minutes to equip the gear, the soldier was becoming impatient, but finally the other soldiers left the plane and Aiden and Eve were standing the in the doorway, their hair reaching for the sky, and the rush of the airy abyss looming for them.

Smiling at Eve, she glared at him, and then he took a bold and shaky step out of the plane.

And dropped.

The experience was somewhat thrilling, but, given the circumstances, it was not the most enjoyable activity. Soon, however, Aiden could make out objects on the ground, which included people.

Aiden had no idea that his ally from long ago, Vlad, was watching him.

Alright...it had a parachut.

Atrianna looked down at the tattered remains of the parachute and felt a moment of fear before assesing the situation.

Alright...there is one parachute left onboard...and I'm not leaving all those weapons behind. I'll need them.

She quickly grabbed the last parachute and quickly hooked it up to the vehicle before jumping in and driving out of the plane and into thin air before triggering it.

Hope this works.

Vlad finally spotted chutes. He smiled, it seemed that the group was just impossible to kill.

He ran into the street, cars screeching, trying to avoid hitting the tall Russian. He went to the closest one and opened the door.

"I'm sorry, but I need your vehicle."

He grabbed the small man and took him out of the car, Japanese curses assaulting Vlad all the way.

He jumped inside and nodded to the man.

"No worries, I'll bring it back."

With that, he sped off towards the landing zone of the chutes.
