Thermal detonator?

Is their a patch or mod that makes you actually throw the thermal detonator instead of them just magically appear out of nowhere.

It has bugged me to. I am thinking of creating a mod, using other fsp's like HALO and stuff, but I don't feel like creating one now, but I might do so this weekend. I'll keep you up to date.
