Yes, and spears, heavy rocks, large rolling logs anything they can use to make a dent in that tough stormtrooper armor.
Also, don't forget about the usual traps that the ewoks setup for the stormtroopers. Although everything the Ewoks did was a primitive form of battle, they did the best they could...they improvised.

well i suppose we will never know... i think they just wanted to make a good movie. the armor is meant to keep out blast bolts but sticks can still kill  |

Well.. that's Irony for ya. With that armor - sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
Anyway, I think it would suck to be a Stormtrooper - at any rate.

I suspect nobody in the Empire cared, especially when you have Imperial Academies like, everywhere, so it's not like they'd ever run out of Stormtroopers.
Personally, if I was on Tantive IV, I'd surrender, because although I can bring 8 down (if I was lucky), the annoyance could and would pile up to be too much and topple me over.
