I am taking an art class now, it is fun and I'll be doing some life drawings also. Hopefully will work to improve my skills so I can do more comics with superior graphics. Also I just fixed my MP3 player. Had to replace the battery after the other one exploded and I had to tear it out before it burned through the player's circuits. >_>

Well, I suppose a lot depends on what you're trying to draw/paint/sculpt etc. Maybe switching to a different medium or style will help you?

My impression is that tablets are bad for skill. I mean, don't exclusively focus on a tablet and computerized art, or you won't improve. Of course, if that's all he wants to do, then there's no problem at all.
