Thanks, DJ. I haven't posted any pics of our 'little project' yet. I will when I get some screenies though.

Marius I thought you should put an ancient sith force power or feat banned of both jedi and sith being extremely dangerous to master with terrifying results in the holocron.I mean aren't the holocrons made by jedi or sith to store information and teachings(and souls in some cases, but even force ghosts can teach you something.Right?I mean they are the essences of dead induviduals).

Thats one nifty looking Sion body re-model, Marius.

My only gripe with it are those 'seams' in the arms. Its really noticeable in the uncovered arm. But, I suppose unless you want to re-weight the entire model, you won't be doing that.

I would've already released my Atris model, once I can get it to stop having those troublesome polys flying around...

Oh, yeah, both DK and Giygas beat me to it. Thats what I get for wanting to game.

Would you want to go through that? There are far less painful ways to kill yourself. >_>

@Topic:

Thanks to the wonderful Photoshop skills of Darth Jaden, I have a great texture for my Sion model. I tweaked it a bit so I could get the skin tones right and i've now played with it enough as i'm comfortable with.

Some of the heads match up great, others, not so much, but i'll never get it to match them all. Here's a screenshot of the model with the new textures:

(Since this mod was a collaboration with DJ, I figured i'd try and emulate a Darth Jaden style screenshot. )

As far as i'm concerned, this is now ready for release. I just need to get it all packaged up and then it's finished.

----------

DJ and I are also working together on something else, which I haven't posted any screenshots of yet. Those'll be coming within the next few days. DJ's already finished her part of the mod, now i'm just putting everything together, making a few more 2da changes and setting up the TSL Patcher. That'll be out soon, too. I'll try and get some screenies up of that, ASAP.

On the right? sholder, there is a patch that appears to have no texture, just a basic color. I do not know if thats supposed to be there, but it looks a little bad.

Yeah, that's part of the model. With the original Sion texture, those triangle bits were were he had cuts/scars.

I'll have a go at fixing it in a future release, but it's beyond my abilities atm.

As of last night, the Sion mod is out.

I found a post by Shem last night, in one of J7's old WIP threads, saying how he wished the boots on the Padawan robe model in TSL were more like the ones on the Jedi Master model.

I've had a go at that and here's my result after five minutes playing around:

The boots are now less 'fat' and there's a much smaller bulge at the knee. This is only after a few minutes playing around remember, so it'll be worked on a lot more.

Here's the Jedi Master robe to compare against:

UPDATE:

Had a bit of a 'dry patch' with modding lately, but in the last few days I got a few new idea's so i'm trying out some new things.

I've got two files ready for release that I might as well show.

The first is a head mod for TSL. If you've ever looked at the Goto head texture, you'll see it has a blue tinge. I've removed that and now the head actually looks human. I've made it a selectable head. It also comes with an edited Weequay model as the default clothing:

Second is a portrait pack for K1 that I made. (Every bugger else appears to have made one, so why not? )

As for things i've yet to start, i'm going to make a mod that's basically like ChAiNz.2da's longsaber crystal pack, but with TSL Patcher, so there's less problems for people who aren't comfortable editing 2da files.

Ok, I have another update. I spent most of last night and a bit of this morning making new higher quality icons for the armour and robes in K1. They're in a style I personally like, so I know they won't appeal to everybody:

As part of this mod, the red Sith armour is wearable and has its own icon, as you can no doubt see, and there's an opportunity to get it and the original silver armour (also with a new icon) later in the game.

All three Mandalorian armours are now wearable, if you couldn't tell by the screeny. ^_^

I'm considering doing some of the weapons, but that would obviously take a LOT longer, so i'm not sure yet. "/

Thoughts?

Yes, I LIKEY! most of the icon pictures just show a generic pic for something that looks almost nothing like it. This looks awesome.

---------------------------------------------------
Deep thought #1: In the end, everyone dies. No one can outrun time, death itself is always breathing down your neck, just waiting to slip the noose over you. But, in your time of death, what matters is not when or how or even why. What matters is what you do with it. Do you sit down and call it quits, or do you get up, stare your killer and death itself in the face, and laugh copiously, right until the end.

I've decided. I'm going to make new icons for the weapons, but i'm going to release them separate to the armour etc.

I'll release the new icon sets in sort of little packs. Armours, melee weapons, ranged weapons, head gear, etc etc.

When i'm done with those, if i'm feeling really productive, I might go for implants etc as well, but that's unlikely.

You might also want to do that with the droids as well, since you can't really imitate the effects that they have in 3ds that well (you can add a spec map, and any other maps, and they might simulate it, to a degree)

Long story short, 3ds max renders aren't very good portrait material, ingame shots are.

Well, a few of them are a little rough around the edges

I like the new icons for the Armors, and can't wait for them to be released -unless I've missed it- as it's difficult to determine what each image translates to in the inventory.

Nonsense, you got far more controle in 3Ds Max, plus its uber render powers, to do far better shots.

Yes, these straight forward shots are perhaps not the best that could've been done. But, hell taking screenshots? Then messing about in PS to cut out and stuff... Its all more a hassle, certainly with that idiotic stiff camera in the game.

You can infact pose the characters quiet nice in Max, if you want a cross eyed carth you can

Then again, I guess this all personal opinion, just didn't expect to read such rubbish from you, since you know to goddamn well what Max can do

You've proven that yourself a couple of times.

Well from a quick lookover (and another that I did just now), it doesn't look like much of this control was used. If it was, its not that noticeable.

Yeah, it is a hassle, but in the end, getting it right can be worth it.

Because Marius isn't really into the full 3D thing, though its nicer then what most people sometimes show. Perhaps he could have bugged me and asked how to do better shots and give the characters a pose.

Then again we all started from nowhere and climbed that hill steep modding hill slowly.

True, perhaps, that doing some hard work is going to pay it off. Though then again; using ingame shots... dunno...

Anyway, I'll hand it to you that more could've been done, but you can't say its god awefull quality. Though of course if thats your opinion go for it

Right then bitches, i've done what basically amounts to **** all modding-wise for the past few months. And yesterday I decided to get up off of my great big arse and do something productive with my time. Then I decided nah bugger it, i'll mod instead.

And here's the result. A reskin of Mission Vao for K1, which is sort of a collaboration between myself and Quanon.

You may have seen a version of this texture floating about in various screenshots of mine and his before, but i've altered it quite a bit. Q's original had red skin eyes and lips.

My new version is caucasian and has a more human looking mouth and eyes.

Aaaaanyway, enough blabbering...

Here be it:

I shall release... When I can be bothered.

THREAD REVIVAL!!

Ok guys and gals, i've been off the modding scene for quite some time now, but i'm just starting to get back into the swing of things.

I've not done anything particularly of note as of yet, though I do have a lightsaber hilt i'm reasonably happy with. Now, I know ArmyAJ already released a version of Revan's hilt just recently, but here's my take on it:

Aaaaand here's the reference picture I used:

And a textured version:

(I know the textures very basic, but at the end of the day, it's a simple hilt. What more could I do? )

I plan to release this as a sort of small set with two sabers in, one blue, one red, complete with some special crystals.

Anyway, that's it for now. Kick on.
