You'll need to open up the .rim files in the Modules folder.
The .are and .ifo files are packed into the .rim.
To easly get those files out, get ERFedit!
This is a real handy tool to pack up .mod, .erf or .rim files that get used by the game. No doubt KT has something similair.

Also to edit the .are and .ifo get K-GFF, can be found on the above mentioned link aswell.
Now ofcourse, you'll need to know the names of the modules you want to edit: TSL is bothersome that the Cheat Console is hidden, else the WHEREAMI cheat is dang handy to get the info you need.
Though to solve that problem; look for the WhereamI armband mod.
Its handy item which will use the cheat and write it to a small TXT file.
Like that you should be able to do what you're planning
