Yes,maybe so , but i have faith in Lucasarts, that atleast monitore the interest in their products ! I mean , they won me as a fan forever with Republic Commando, i`m playing the game since 2005 and haven`t stopped yet... it is unique , but a second game is totally necessary ! The story line,the graphic, the whole idea was pure GOLD ! I mean the game is still playable for some many ppl , look at xfire rating for example ... I read somewhere that the rest of the delta joined the 501st, and the idea of Imperial Commando seems more realistic, but hey... storm troopies are lame , we all want the good old republic spirit back ! Lucasarts can make a superb second storyline ... like , the replacement for sev turns out a traitor,but sev saves them or something ... oh come on, you all know that a RC2 would make a boom in the markets for sure !
@Koietovascorch: Welcome to LF! Yes, we all know that would be great, but right now LA is in a kid-friendly phase with Star Wars. Although I don't see an end to TCW any time soon (although I wish I could), my hopes are focused on them making an RC2 (or an IC, which would just as great) after they're done with TCW.
Maybe this is just a prelude, you know the clone wars... and suddenly republic commando 2 pops-out of nowhere, as an easter egg for example ? I mean LUCASARTS can`t be so blind to notice that RC is a gold mine :P Thanks , btw

I wouldn't call it 'kid-friendly'. They are not making games for children they are making them for general fans, which is all ages because...well, it's Star Wars and lot's of people have grown up with it.

Hm, I really don't know about that. TCW is generally where the RCs did their work. So there wouldn't be much to base a game on durring that period. Now, if your talking about making a game with Imperial Commandos, that makes since.

I haven't gotten sick of clones LA should make a game based off of that one star wars book "Allegiance" I think it was? It'd be pretty fun to be a squad of stormies blasting those annoying imperial officers, etc.

I don't think there is enough time and info to base a whole new game on if you limit it to before order 66.
hmm, never thought of that... but then again, how did they get ALL of those episodes for TCW?

Hockey, you make a very good point...... But then again, they were smart enough to make an RC, even though they abandoned it. I think, they abandoned RC because of the amount of money they made from it, which wasn't much.
^while that may be true, you would think that they would be workin hard on a real Battlefront 3, (battlefront 1 and 2 were the biggest money makers of all SW games)

Republic Commando had Halo taking most of the Xbox FPS glory. Only Star Wars fans are likely to play a game like RC, and due to lack of games ( and what they have released sucked anyway ) lately I would say they are losing some fans.

that may be true, but halo is starting to get redundant, its biggest competitor will be the "Bad Company" and Call of Duty programs

Don`t know about that , haven`t modded a bit of RC , playing the vanilla since 2005 and it`s still unique ... But for people who like mods i guess that`ll be a pretty big opportunity ... but i`d care so far as the game is out, it`s in my hands and my pc is able to run it ... , perhaps some beer too

Sadly that's just how LucasArts tends to do things. Just like with the KotOR series, how they made a MMO ( The Old Republic ) instead of a KotOR III. And I think they did it because they know they'll get a lot more profit off a well done MMO than they will a RPG.
RC MMO........ I could get used of that! (*Imagines having connected MMO that has people who pilot capital ships and you can be hired to beat the crap out of them*)
Well, regardless of it being a fail it would bring LA a whole lot of money if they advertise it right and create a quality game. But that is highly unlikely.
well here's my problem.... when i think of MMO, i think of like, Runscape, Wizards 101 ETC. to tell you te truth, i hate those games....

Well, if you think about it, there are some really good MMORPGs. EVE Online for example, is something that I wish I could play. $15 dollars a month isn't gonna work for me right now though But there are others, of course.
i think they should keep it like now, but with somthin like co-op missions?
