Save Game Problem

I was recently playing KotOR and I just got finished finding the third Star Map and was getting ready to go to the next planet when I realized that I never updated the game. So out of stupidity and not checking what would happen if I did this, I updated the game, losing all of my savegames. So, I was wondering if it was possible to recover my savegame via KSE since my savegames are still in there. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Patching lost your savegames? You mean the game no recognizes them and you can't load them? I've never run into that one before. Go ahead and give KSE a try. If that doesn't work, there are archived savegames available that you could download, doctor with KSE and proceed from there. I'm not sure where they are because I've never needed them, but I know that they're around here somewhere.

Well, when I go to load a game it says that I don't have any saved games. How could I use KSE to get them back? Sorry, I've never really had any problems before so I don't know how to do things besides play and install mods :P

Are they still in the saves folder?

Then you have no saves. Sorry.

You have two options at this point. You can download an available savegame that's as close to the game you were playing as possible, then edit the PC with KSE to match yours and carry on from there, or you can start a new game.
