There's no denying that Climate Change is a hotly debated issue, and a contentious one at that, but this video has annoyed me no end (Warning, video contains large amount of gore).

As for the ad itself, I'm not sure what was going through the director's mind and it's probably a deep-seated metaphor on how we enjoy watching people getting people blown up in an explosion of blood and gore.

If it's an actual ad for cutting carbon emissions, it's essentially a death threat. If it's a jab at those who are pushing for cutting carbon emissions, it's too direct. Either way, it was pretty ill-conceived.
I would say ill conceived would be a good description...and I think I'd add disgusting...and completely uncalled for.
I think I'd also like the director and the people behind it to listen to The Doctor's George Carlin post as I think George may very well be spot on with his perception.
