Maybe stupid was the wrong word, would it matter if I had said foolish, which is essentially the same thing? Saying that you are glad that you are not in the same boat as PSN users as a result of your Xbox ownership is implying that you feel more secure with a Xbox Live account. Which is a foolish and ignorant way to look at the subject because no system is hack-proof and what happened to the PSN database could have happened to any database storing user information. I prefaced my initial statement with "no offense" in an attempt to make it non-personal, but instead pointing out a flaw in the "Xbox is safe" mentality. Clearly though, that wasn't enough as this has escalated to beyond ridiculous and as such, I'm done with this.

Everyone knows that no digital system/network is safe and I don't think anyone is really saying that one system is more "uncrackable" than another... of course, it can be said that some systems/networks present a much more tempting target over others. At this point in time, Sony was a very tempting target and you can't deny that with all that's been happening with them over the last few months, they did have a target painted on their ass. On the other side of things, it's been very quiet and uneventful with Microsoft.

That's just the way things played out, but I think Sony is handling things well now after the initial shock.

Of course this isn't Kavar's... people are discussing something that's actually important rather than the useless crap that's talked about in Kavar's.

He probably played nothing but Call of Duty too.

EDIT: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/02/so...redit-card-nu/ See, it's like I said, Sony is a juicy target right now.

According Kazuo Hirai, in a letter to a US Congressional Committee, investigators believe that Anonymous was responsible for taking down PSN and stealing user information.

Story.

I'd say that both XBox and PS3 are equal, both of them have their pros and cons, it's only a matter of preference though.

So, PSN is back up, all but the PSStore.

Finally. They have released the details of the Welcome back program, which (for my territory anyway, which is europe) consists of two free ps3 games, two free psp games, 30 days PS Plus for non subscribers and 60 free days to subscribers. 30 days free Qriocity for subscribers only.

You have to have had an account on 20th April backward to be eligible. They gave a selection of five games for ps3, in which you can choose two from, and a selection of four for psp, which you can also choose two from.

PS3 -
Wipeout HD + Fury
Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty.
Dead Nation.
InFamous
LittleBigPlanet

PSP -
LittleBigPlanet PSP
Pursuit Force
Killzone Liberation
ModNation PSP

PSP games are meh for me, but I'm cool with having a free copy of InFamous I was wanting to try out. As for the second game, I'm still deciding. Gliding towards Wipeout though. However I may get Ratchet and Clank given that I used to love those games as a kid.
