I got your e-mail and checked it out! ^_^
I hope everyone enjoys the 'upgrade' to Telos.
I haven't forgotten about the panel thing; but it's such an odd texture. That I'm thinking of restarting my work on it.

IRC, it's actually animated, to make the buttons and screens blink/ light up.

Aaaah, nothing beats doing an early test run. Obviously it doesn't look like much yet, but I did get a sense of the scale. It's always a bit of gamble when modelling. So far I'm pretty pleased with this model. Lots to do still. But it's nice to actually walk in your model ^_^

Mind this model is for another project, I won't say much what it really is. But I let you guys enjoy the pics. Plus I need to be honest; being cheered on, it keeps me motivated to work further

Either the walkmesh needs work, or your standing in thin air. I can't decide which...

What can I say? Looks fantastic Q!! I love the detail you put into your towers and walls in your area models. The beauty is in the details...the little things

<Jaw hits the center of the earth...> GM, you're back....ARE YOU A GHOST?!

Incidentally, me and Darth Sapien are working on your Scrapyard Games mod. Any feedback or ideas would be much appreciated and definitely used. Please PM either of us if you wish to contribute. As it is, I plan to use your original idea for the Skirmish game mode.

If you're here to stay awhile, then welcome back!
Otherwise, hope you're doing well.

Hey! I'm glad it wasn't effort in vain, I just ran out of time to work on the projects. To be honest all my projects now are for the iPhone, and while brushing up on a bit of C I thought back to when I used to write mods for this game and figured I'd have to have a look and see if everyone is still about here aha.

As I recall, the plan for the game mode was the two game types (it's been years so I can't remember the details) we planned on doing a tournament style game in rounds of increasing difficulty and a final horribly difficult boss battle and then epic rewards in the form of SG weapons and armour.. I think I was experimenting with bullet types and stuff to get grenade launchers and lightning guns and other cool stuff that actually made the games worth playing.

Erm, as far as I remember Skirmish was going to be a kill rewards system where by you are faced against waves after waves of enemies and interval boss fights for 100 rounds or as best as you can manage and you get a better reward tiered to 10 round upgrades.

That's as far as I remember, and I'm definitely up for sticking around but I really don't have time to work, I doubt I can even remember much of Bioware's Aurora Engine haha

I'd be happy to carry on your experiments. As it is, I figured that's what you wanted and know how to implement it, but need time and a modding computer. But I promise you, it will see the light of day.

Okay, thanks! Also, a bit much to expect, but do you have the source scripts for the maptable holoprojector? I have the .ncs, which includes the Ebon Hawk OnEnter script.

Woot, GM! Loooooong time no see
I do see you passing by on fun pictures on Fb, now and then. I'll refrain from commenting on them

Very happy you dropped by! As I can't remember all the crazy stuff for that Arena mod thing, besides the heavy purple smoke

Well, minor update on the nameless module: starting to texture it a bit; plus did some more detail work. Here is a snapshot:

Show spoiler

Missing floor ingame has been solved. Forgot to put the pivotpoints at the center of the mesh. Somehow the game DEMANDS this, else everything just gets shifted around. And the floors where editable polyies, again something the game doesn't like to much.

I've got doubts about the yellowness of my textures, think I'll go for a more pure white & red marble look....

Ah yes the public shaming of my alcoholic life... Hahaha.

I definitely have all the files backed up at mine but I'm down at the parents for a bit at the moment so I'll check in the week to see if I saved something detailing all the ideas we came up with. Though your work now is looking amazing as always.

It's been far too many years man, I was flicking through our old threads and found the first post when we made the first new module, madness that it was so long ago haha. I guess that work has had quite the impact on KotOR modding now!

Oh, never mind the lighting, that's just the standard Max 3D view; it's a quick screencap, not a render.

As it happens I have all the work we did on Scrapyard Games, including content that we decided to cut; I believe we weren't far from finishing this project actually - just let me know if you want me to zip it up for you.

Also for those that use Notepad++ I also put together the NWScript language for syntax highlighting - I'll release that in a separate thread in the tools forum

You may have to scrap the holoprojector however as I have just remembered the idea behind it actually involved a Map Patcher program that I was writing - though I actually had another idea for it to work which probably would have been better, but you'll have to ask me for the details on that if you're set on reviving that side project

Great to see you're still supporting the community GM!
You've always been handy with the scripts/ code.

Not much has been done yet, been tinkering with the textures a bit. My live is a bit of a mess at the moment... and causes a heap of stress, plus it takes time away for me to mod.

But anyway, here's the results:

You've always been handy with the scripts/ code.
Of course Q, we are definitely in need of a catch up and also I found the old sources for our Galaxy Map fix and I think if there's anything that we need to finish, it is this because we were really onto something here it just needs a looking over. Also I believe Bioware owe us loads of money for stealing the idea for Mass Effect haha :')

If you're looking for any of the junk I did a few years ago; you can probably still find it all on filefront

The idea was to make the big holo-table, at the center of the Ebon-Hawk, into a galaxy map. As the Galaxy map in the cockpit could only have 1 extra planet or such...

GM wanted a ingame tool of sorts, so modders could easely at TONS of new planets, making a new galaxy map interface thingy. I was working on some small models which would look like holograms to sell the whole thing

Promises, promises, Q!

This lightmapping thing is fun, mind you. Been getting some interesting effects tinkering with the various things you can do with 'em! >_<
