Is Anyone getting a Geforce 4 just for JK2

I am just wondering if anyone is going to upgrade or get a geforce 4 just for JK2? If not what card are you planning on upgrading to?

Nope, I upgraded in Nov. to a ATI Radeon 8500, but if I hadn't I probably would. Next to upgrade is the mobo, cpu and ram.

I got a Geforce 4 for JK2 primarily. Also Morrowind.

HOWEVER

It's a freaking MX, so... it doesn't really count.

But, before this I had a 32 meg geforce 2 gts... like, the first geforce 2 that was even available, the elsa gladiac. now i've got double the video memory and, it is certainly a fair bit better than what I had. But... how well JK2 will run and especially Morrowind, is very much in doubt still.

I upgraded specifically for JK2, but the 'real' (read: Ti series) GeForce4's hadn't hit yet, so I got a 3 instead.

Wanted to upgraded the processor as well, but it would have required new motherboard/RAM/case as well, so I'm holding off on that.

I'm not. I use a GeForce 2 GTS 64 meg, and it's still runs fine for everything I play. GeForce 4 must be quite expensive.. that's quite dedicated for just a game. Heh. Still understandable I guess, but will it really yield a greater visual experience?

If you're still deciding, I'd buy the game, try it on what you have now, and then decide whether you need a GeForce 4.

Not sure about just going out and buying one before you know if it will make a change or not!

I have a GF3 and i;m fine with that....untill of course the Geforce 4 Ti series comes out then i'm going to save money.

No way I'm not getting a GF4 just for JKII, my GF2 GTS should handle it just fine...it handles all the other latest games perfectly, I don't see why it wouldn't JK2 (it's not like it supports vertex and pixel shaders, anyways). I'm gonna get the GF5 Ultra once it comes out.

I bought a 8500LE. Graphics play smooth like liquid. Only to get through school until Friday. I guess school work comes before anything else.

The Geforce3 Ti200 is an excellent card; I have one myself. Great performance for the price.

I'm gonna get a Geforce4 TI 4200 just for Jedi Outcast...

...althought its due out at the end of April....price wise its the
cheapest in Geforce4 TI family...at US$199...I'll be able to use it
for Galaxies also which is cool..

i won't. gf3 and 1.4ghz + 512 ram does fine for now...in august im upgrading when prices are a bit lower!

I upgraded to a GeForce3 Ti 200 and a Pentium 4 1.8 GHz Northwood for JK2. The GeForce3 Ti 200 is an excellent card. Great performance for the price.
