Lynk Former I wanted to ask you about your forum. Because I want to open a Rogue Squadron Editing Forum at my web-site. But then I decided to write it myself, it would be a good practice and stimulus for learning Perl. Who is Wacky_Baccy by the way?

By the way, it is very interesting, but thigan used exactly for Gipsy here. Maybe that archeologist was from former USSR (Russia)?

Now, almost three monthes ago I reported that I finished at last my RogueDat Rogue Squadron Data Explorer! Using this small utility you can easily explore the structure of .DAT and Bundle. data files, also with the same easiness extract any resource from these files! Then I send a call to XWing Upgrade Project and got an answer from MJT (do you remember? he is one who supported us with web-space for our helmets, when one lier wiped them out and did not upload to the server): Sadly, I no longer am part of the Upgrade project...
But if it is possible to replace the models of RS3d then I think some of the remaining members would be willing to work with you. Most of them would have the game.
The biggest thing that needs to be replaced is the locations. It would be much more fun fight over lager areas I think. And a real DeathStar trench would be much better too.
I'd still be willing to help, especially with landscapes...
I'll have a look at the files and see what I can do.
Everybody with some advanced computer experience, please explore Rogue Squadron _HMT and _HOB 3D model resources from Data.dat file. Maybe you know or can figure out their format!

Keiran Halcyon, how are you! Great idea I also thought about "to substitute the wingmen with the player craft" but it i not very simple. I noticed that wm objects (for example wmxwng) are more simple models and they are used for wingmen.

By the way where is Rogue 15 ? He always was full of a lot of great ideas and energy that kindle all of us...
