hiding visible map area?

is it possible to " hide " visible portions of the map that are in your way in radiant? My map is built layer upon layer, and its driving me 'kin nuts trying to figure out which brush is where..lol

you can try messing with the filters. i forgot what menu its in.... view or edit or something

it doesnt work as good as, say visgroups in worldcraft, but i think thats what you gotta work with

Yeah, they should include a hide or lock function in the next version of GTKRadiant. There was a lock function in RED (red faction editor) which would lock the brushes so you could work on other stuff without worrying about accidently modifying those. It also made the outline light grey as opposed to black.

Select the brush(es) you intend to conceal, and press 'H.' 'Shift + H' will, incidentally, unhide it(them.)
