Shadows.. IN MUlti?!
A lot of files have been poping up latley with shadows in multi player... see the duffman . anakin and bushido blade files on www.jk2files.com to see that.... How if it's possible do you get volumeric shadows in multi player?  |

I think if your card is good enough it sets it on automatically.. I noticed a great change in my shadows since I got a new computer, and I never set it.

But if you notice, the Lightsaber does not cast a shadow.
This totally ruins the immersive value, who the heck thought that lgithsabers don't cast shadows

It didnt really slow the frame rate down, but i think the shadow is too dark and looks ugly, might be my video card though.

Lightsabers in JO do not cast shadows because they are a bunch of sprites, there is no 3D model to cast a shadow. A very, very easy solution is to make an invisible stick on the lightsaber hilt.

Actually, in every lightsaber scene in the movies, barring the saber battle in the dark in ep2, the sabers don't cast a shadow at all.

lightsabers do cast shadows, if there is a stronger lightsource in the near.
The lightsaber itself is a weak lightsource.
for example you see in the ROTJ Luke vs. Vader battle the shadow of vader's lightsaber when darth got up when knocked down the stairs when luke kicked him.
