Oh I know there are nice looking ladies there. My grandpa was originally from Norway and my mother is of German decent. Though I've never been myself......that is one trip I really want to make. Norway, Sweden, Germany, and a few other spots.

I'm saving my $$$$$

Gollum really is great! I can't believe they were able to make him look the way they did......just incredible.

It didn't even seem like it lasted 3 hrs either, that was great!

I hope you enjoyed the movie Darth Simpson!

I'll just copy and paste something I posted on another forum.

The Faramir thing was probably the biggest let-down in the movie for me. Talk about a way to ruin a character. I think Jackson went completely in the opposite direction of what Tolkien was trying to show, that there in fact is strength in men. Faramir was not like Boromir, that was the point.
Therefore, I felt the entire going to Gondor trip totally unneccesary. Personally, I think they should have concentrated more on the ent battle. The ents looked fantastic by the way, no complaints there.

Gimli was pretty funny, I liked him a lot. Legolas on the shield down those steps was pretty dumb, but I guess the little kids think it's cool.

The acting was great, most of the special effects were awesome, the music was fantastic. Overall, a very good movie. But I liked Fellowship more I think.

STAND CLEAR! MAYOR TTT SPOILERS!

I decided to go to the Two Towers this afternoon to celebrate the start of a 2-week vacation...

To be honest, I enjoyed the movie... but I wasn't fully blown away. I'm not sure why, but I just wasn't totally psyched up about it... I know that I enjoyed FotR alot more the first time around. Perhaps it's because I hadn't had a clue what this whole LotR thing was about... I completed Return of the King about a week ago, so I already pretty much had an idea what to expect.

However, that doesn't say that I wasn't blown away with the story and the CGI. The story is very well preserved, although some liberties were made with the storyline. It still flows well tho'. Gimli, my favorite character out of the LotR books, was somewhat of a surprise for me... I enjoyed his humor, and I am *SO* glad that they preserved the killcount-contest between Legolas and Gimli.

However, I was mildly dissapointed when the movie stopped... I know that three hours is enough, and Gollum's final words gives the movie a very nice note... still, what I wouldn't have given to see the "Voice of Saruman" chapter, instead of waiting for about a year to see it.

Of course, any TTT review must have a quick piece about the Gollem, and I have to say that I liked his character. The voice is almost exactly how I pictured him to be in the books. His expressions were done incredibly well, and these expressions were used incredibly well when he was talking to himself.

HOW-EVER, I must say that I could still see that Gollem is a CGI-character. Wether it was the textures, the lightning or the compositing, or a mix, I'm not sure, but it was pretty visible throughout several occasions. I'm specifically mentioning this, because I've seen several reviews raving about how he's incredible, and that the TPM Jar Jar doesn't even come close to this character. Wow, very impressive, they've managed to outdo a character that was made about three years ago. Funny enough, I have yet to see a review which compares him to AotC Yoda.

Note that I'm not saying that the TTT is bad movie. It's done incredibly well, and I enjoyed watching it. I don't think I'll be seeing it twice in the cinemas, although I will buy the (non-extended) DVD when it's released and probably enjoy it more.

Burrie, you summed it up nicely. I wasn't totally blown away either. It was a great movie, and I'll probably go see it again, but it sort of left me with an empty feeling when it was over, unlike Fellowship, where I was totally amazed.

You know for me......at the end of Fellowship I was left with that feeling. Not this one, I got a sense about the characters and what they were struggling with and what they still have left to do.

The key thing to remember here fella's is that if you've read the books, don't think the movies are going to be the same. Remember in Jurassic park in the book they all died at the end. There is a lot to be left out and changed via poetic license because all movies of this type have to have a happy ending, this is what makes books so cool.

Secondly, remember if you've seen the movies and havn't read the books, it would still probably be worth your while to read the books. Then you'll get what the author intended and not some hollywood style melodrama.

Don't get me wrong, I still like the movies, but it would be nothing like the books, though I havn't read the books.

No, I am no relation to Krusty.
