TSL MOD: Anti-Speed-Blur

This is a very very simple mod to remove the blurring effect from the force speed powers.

http://deadgod.net/misc/Anti-Speed-Blur.rar

Source and KMM file included!
Enjoy.

(I imagine this mod will only work with TSL)

Why the *.NSS and *.NCS files included in this mod have different names ? I thought that they were a unique script...

To answer that, frame buffering does more than apply that stylish speed blur as your picture shows. The most notible thing it does is it influences how your sabers look. Withought frame buffering they look far more flat and more like there JKA counterparts than the absolute perfection they have with it on.
Personally I like the blur effect, i just don't like how it makes your saber look when you turn it on. It looks really ridiculous when it grains out like that, I don't think there's anyway to change that however.

This is great! The speed blur may be good to look at during the first few times, but becomes very annoying after while. I hated turning off frame buffering just to get rid of it because this also removes some other cool effects.

thanks.. i didnt realize that the frame buffering affects how the sabers look in general.. i usually have them on..... i like the blur.. so i guess that answers that..

Good Mod than for those that want there sabers to look great and still have blur effect off

Exactly. The option to toggle those effects off affects other stuff too - stuff I would like to keep. Thanks, liquidthex, for the file.

The effect has been bugging me since I first saw it. I would not mind there being a smaller effect, but it applying to the whole screen gives me a headache as there is nothing solid to focus on.

heh I did this same FP edit a few days ago.

And to add, Framebuffer also affects lighting, the special security and droid camera effects. So if at all possible you want to have Framebuffer on.

k_inc_force.nss is the file you modify, but it is an include, you cannot compile it alone, you must compile the k_sp1_generic.nss which includes the k_inc_force.nss script.
So, k_sp1_generic.ncs is the compiled file you use, but k_inc_force.nss is the only file I've changed.

In fact, only files' name disturbed me... But now, I've understood the principle...
Thanks, liquidthex !...
