As much as I dislike her as an author, it is sad knowing that after the next book in 2010, the Republic Commando franchise may be wound up permanently, despite the obvious devotion from fans (both here and on other forums) for all things RC.

Yes it is quite sad. Though I doubt it, maybe someday another writer will find the means to write his own RC books.
