Unhappy Hoo boy! Old software can be such a crick in the kneck!

Ok. I just recently re-installed my old 2 disk JK onto WindowsXP. Each time I try choosing "New Game", it tells me that I need to insert disc 1 although its already inserted. It gives the usual option of selecting "No" or "Ok", but everytime I select "Ok" it doesn't recognize that its already in there. It's like malfunctioning or something. Kind of a pain in the arse if you ask me.

I hear there's a new version of it but I don't want to waste my money on a game I've already got. Is there any way I can get it to work without having to go out and get the newer one, or will I have to swallow my words and get the new one?

Current Game: Game of life, yo
This has happened ot me with quite a few games actually. It could be one of a few things-

Maybe the cd is pretty bad scratched up? It may need cleaning.

or

Maybe there was some sort of screw up in the installation. Try installing it again.

Hope that helps a little.
