Who's getting Soul Calibur 2?

I just got the demo for xbox in oxm (official xbox magazine).

It's awesome. I plan to get it if my friend doesn't get it first.

I have played the first one on Dreamcast, and I found it very good, the characters all control differently but you can always manage toget a good fight with any of them after a few minutes of training. My fave character is without a shadow of a doubt Mitsurugi, he look so cool, so i'll definately check SC2 (for gamecube), and I look foward to playing with Link

Had mine reserved & paid off at my local Funcoland (now Gamestop) a long time ago. My favorite char has been Mitsurugi ever since Soul Edge in the arcade. I am surprised and a little ticked that some old favs aren't coming back...Seung Mina, Hwang, and Rock...though Astaroth is good enough to replace Rock...and they've got that new guy (forget his name) instead of Hwang, and Kilik is kinda like Mina, but not quite. I will also be very interested to see how Talim; uses the bladed tonfas; will fare...she supposedly can hook an opponent's weapon, but I have been unable to pull that off on the arcade...we will see...

oh, and Spawn owns Link!! XBOX RULES!!!

p.s. Link will undoubtedly be an awesome character to use, I have nothing against Link as a character, it's just that Spawn is soooo much cooler IMO...I truly feel sorry for the PS2 people who only get Heihachi (weaponless char in a weapon-based fighter...hmmm...not good)

p.p.s. Rouge15, if you haven't already, check out the top 10 plays, literally half of them are Spawn kicking ass

Life isn't like playing poker. It's like playing a game where you don't know the rules in a dark room using blank cards with a dealer who Always Smiles.

Get it for GameCube, because Link is cool and Spawn is stupid. That's how I decided.

The PS2 charector looks really stupid, too. Spawn looks the coolest, But Link is probably the best, since he has many long range weapons. So like 15 said, if you don't have XBox live, get the GCN version.

I've got a Xbox and GCN. Hard choice which, but since I'm a Zelda zealot I believe I'll get the GCN version.
Yes, the PS2 version sucks!

Yes, I will get this game for Gamecube, just for Link, despite the fact that the Gamecube's tiny-ass controller will give me trouble.

I played it at the arcades once and I got my ass kicked (some ppl spend too much time in there) so that settled the question.

Actually, I dont really like the style of fighting, I prefer the Capcom vs Snk 2 style (where I am unbeatable )

Its how do you say ?

Anyone have the game yet? I got it for GCN. It is AWESOME!

My main charectors I use is Link (I am the best with him) Maxi (Hes pretty easy to use) and Astaroth (Hard to use, but powerful)

Its quite fun. Arcade mode is fun, as well as weapon master. Tons of unlockable stuff too.

Who got the XBox verison? Is it fun on XBox live?

Astaroth's Rock, Nightmare's Galley Oar, Raphael's cane, Link's bug catching net, Kilik's Bamboo shaft, Taki's Tobacco Pipes, and Yoshi's Sheperd's Crook. Funny, yet effective weapons, if you know what I mean. Kicked everyone's *** with those guys!

They seriously could've came out with a PC version and had someone like Indiana Jones or Kyle Katarn as a special guest character. But then again, that would be up to LucasArts' decision.

I've got the xbox version, and yes, it kicks ass. So far my favourite character to play with is Nightmare, and Spawn is awesome. SC2 is not xbox live enabled btw!

Topshot, how do you get all those weapons?

I tried getting Link's net, but I can't beat oe of the levels on Chapter 4, the one where you start with 30 seconds to beat like 5 guys. Taki keeps blockign my attacks, and I always run out of time

You have to be a certain Edge Master level. Somewhere around Lvl. 76. Then, after attaining the highest ranks, go to Chapter 4 and select the mission where you have to beat all of the enemies within the time limit. Complete it successfully, and you should be able to unlock Subchapter 2. It's the only way to get Link's net and all the other weapons.

If you're still having trouble, do what I do: Use your best fighter, buy his/her legendary sword, train with it, learn his/her best and most effective moves, then go kick some major you-know-what!!!!!!!!

As for more information, check out the SC 2 forums, where all information is held.

Hint: You have to be really good in order to beat Taki. My plan of attack would be playing the "Loser's Gambit" strategy and stand near the edge, let her make her charge, get outta the way, and spin kick her to the deep bottomless abyss below.

If that doesn't work,

"My name's not 'Adam We'........or is it????"

Her 'assets' are a lot smaller in the game than in the character art. Bet that peed you off.

I did this wallpaper of her the other day...
