MotS Multiplayer Game (Today) Saturday Aug. 23 2003 2 PM EST

I'm hosting some MotS multiplayer gaming today Saturday Aug 23 2003 at 2 pm EST.

I'll be in the GameSpy Arcade MotS Lobby. Come join in for some old-fashioned high-speed jedi combat.

I'll post IP as well once the games are underway.

Not sure how long I'll be able to play, but I am downloading GameSpyArcade now.

Have to install MotS again, but I would love to join!

Btw, if anybody has GooBFP2 (BFP2 for MotS) that could be used.

It was a small game actually, Reclaimer. All told only five people that I saw dropped in. Not a whole lot of MotS players to be found on Gamespy Arcade. But MotS gameplay is so good that you don't even notice its antiquated graphics.

Oh and in case you were wondering the outcome :

Actually this is just one round. Kurg tore me a new one a few times as well.

Yeah, I tried hard that last round, but man, what a beat down!

The action is sooooo hyper fast compared to Outcast, it's a wonder we ever mastered that game without heart attacks.

Yet after awhile, I felt myself falling into a familiar mode.. hitting all those force keys and flying around corridors with my guns blazing, just like the good old days!

While its true the saber fighting, though fun, feels primitive compared to JK2, the rest of the game has its own unique classic flavor that will never get old. I got pretty nostalgic playing the old maps. I think JA mappers out there should check them out to get some ideas. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the better ones converted over to the new engine (as faithfully as possible).

Even though it was usually just one on one, I had a great time. GG Wilhuf!

Next time we've gotta play some MotS CTF.

If you guys play some JK or MotS CTF, let me know, that's pretty much all I play these days. You folks that work here at jediknight.net should create a JK/MotS chat room on IRC (maybe even on Gamesnet) for the players left that don't wanna play on GSA or Zone. I was the admin for #JediKnight on ETG for years, but after a few months of inactivity they eventually took the channel away.

Yeah, can you guys drop a line some days in advance before the next time? I would like to join in but would have to consider the obvious time differences.

Plus I'm not sure how good a connection I would get but I'd like to play MotS in multiplayer, seen as well.....I haven't before....
