Purcell Pronunciation

I was wondering if anybody knew the correct way to say Steve's last name. If I had to guess, it'd be either Purr (as in cat noise) + cell or Purr + sill (as in windowsill). Thanks.

No no, you're all wrong. Its pronounced pur-cull like Erkel, from that awesome show Family Matters.

Actually, I just assumed it was Purr-Cell.

Jake would know.

Man, I bet the guy had a rough childhood then, always getting called Steve "The Percolator" Purcell. Cartooning is as good of a release as any for years of pent-up torment.

Better then Steve the-open-your-mouth-and-close-your-eyes-and-you'll-get-a-big-surprise.

I always assumed he was named after a well-known brand of washing powder. Isn't he?
