Starfighter map - modders interested?

1. Background
I downloaded KOTOR Flight School and tried out the flyable fighter crafts on another map. That spawned (heh) the idea.

2. Product
A mod focused on Star Wars fighter combat in space.

3. Mission
3.1 Mission description

3.1.1 Extent
Map for Jedi Academy set in space with two launch platforms of some sort, possibly capital ship structures, and flyable starfighters.

3.1.2 Limitations
The platforms shall not be made as anything less then static objects.
No new fighters are intended to be developed.

3.1.3 Uncertain aspects
Shall any space "terrain" (asteroid field etc) be implemented?
How large can a space map be made?
Is it possible to place platforms at large enough distance from eachother?

3.2 Restrictions
Insufficiant tools (possibly). Skills of modders involved.
