Server Status From the Internet

Is it possible to have a webpage showing a server's current status without a special program?

It would be like jk3servers.com, and if it is possible, how would you crate a link to launch the game to that server?

I know the second is possible, because I have seen it for other programs using a different word instead of http.

you could use serverspy, I am not exactly sure how, but for an example go here and scroll down to the bottom of the page
