Well i can tell you if you'll start a fight again (look through your post history it's ALL fights) you'll surely be banned again..
I've got nothing to say about this but if you keep starting fights and insulting everybody i think there's something wrong in your head.
I'm going to stop here and i'll try not to quote on your childish insults again.

I took a break from JO about a year and a half ago and I'm started to play again about two weeks ago. It's amazing how rusty I was at first, felt like a noob all over again.

Though now I'm safely addicted and coming up to speed quite quickly.

Yeah, can't you see his avatar got his hair done?

Seriously, I'm not sure, but I have suspicion this ban is a permanent one. Not 100% sure, but I think so. Or did I just make an arse of myself on the net again?

Hi all. I'm new here. Happy New Year to all the Jedi here!
I started playing again last month and I forgot what a great game this is. Miles better, more fun and challenging than most newer games. I really hope to see a new Jedi Knight game soon (for PC/Mac), either with Kyle having to track down his errant student from the Dark Side ending of Jedi Academy, or a new, original story set in the New Jedi Order time.
I've done a few duals online but noob I am again!

Welcome to the forums, Scooterboy! Personally, I have wanted to create a follow-up to the DS ending of Academy, but never gotten around to it. I suppose after I'm done with The Rift Valley I'll get going on that idea, if nobody else has taken it. But that will take a loooong time alone.

(End of rant) Have fun on LucasForums!

I Agree

You think that Lucas would jump on the idea of a new Jedi Knight (come on you can get Outcast and Academy still at most stores) So bust it out Lucas. In the words of the dumbass in power "get 'ur' done.

Hey buddy thanks for stopping on by! Glad you could join some of the finest Jedi in the galaxah.

Oh yeah and I bought a used copy of JO for my little bro before Christmas, I actually didn't see JA.

Then again, it was a pretty crappy GameSpot.

At any rate, when he came home one night, he was about to enter his home when he saw a man standing on his doorsteps. It had been a long day for Michael, and, as such, he was in a tired, grumpy mood, as reflected in his interactions. He walked half way up the steps before demanding, “who are you?”

As witty a quip as the man’s response was, it was fairly slow at that, and was seemingly a bunch of nonsense, somewhat undermining the wit itself. “Pragmatic condescension is the negation of one's belief in the reality of their desires in trade for the belief in the desires of their reality; desire for meaning versus meaning for desire. That is precisely who I am not.”

Michael replied, “yeah, yeah, whatever that’s supposed to mean.. care to say something with the tiniest smidgeon of logic whatsoever?”

“Logic is a meaningless construct in and of itself; it is but a realist illusion, subsidized by the contrived forces of pragmatism. I am the incarnation of the transcendence of logic,” said the Devil.

“Right..” muttered Michael, “why don’t you begin to make sense? Honestly, I’m getting sick of these games.”

“I am the Devil,” uttered the man. Michael subtly shook his head in disbelief. “It is with unrelenting desire that I wish to qualm your dissatisfaction with your life. My proposal should be beneficial to us both, you should know. Quite an economic transaction. You will feel happy, and I sated.”

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Jedi Outcast (and JA) are the only games I seem to return to, and it's nice to see theres a still a JK community.

That's too bad. I bought Knights of the Old Republic, but stopped playing it only partway into the game because it was boring. Having no direct control over the character takes away much of the enjoyment of playing despite how good the story may be. JA had a stunted story but great gameplay. JO had a great story and great gameplay. That's what I'd like to buy and play, a Star Wars game, set after the movies, where the player controls a Jedi ala Jedi Knight, with an original story or one gleaned from the Jedi Academy or New Jedi Order books.

There will always be a JK community. It is, after all, such a great series.

I like KotOR personally, but if you don't like the RPG, that's fine. I like 'em both. And KotOR's storylines are excellent.

Hit the nail on the head. I thought JA had an OK storyline, but JO had a much better one. It was a lot more like a true First Person Shooter. Though I was confused at first, since I got JO after JA.

As Kyle said on Yavin: Yes!

There was only one thing I didn't like about JO. You know how when sound is an mp3, the sound is distorted? Well, you can pick up the mp3 distortion in JO but not JA. The one fault I have with JO.

kotor1 had one the best story\character developments ive experienced in a game, kotor2 however was very "meh...". the jk community will die a slow and painful death because Lucas arts will not be making a sequal to the series. i hope i may be pleasantly surprised in the near future, but seriously doubt it

I'll try KOTOR again....for the story, and since it's sitting on my shelf. But I'll hold out hope for a new 1st person, single and multiplayer Jedi game. And I'll keep playing the Jedi Knight series until then.

Now everyone says there won't be a sequel but is there any concrete evidence of this? I too find it unlikely..by default but has there been any official press releases to offer credence to these dire assumptions?

There is no need of proof, i know there's no more JK after the Academy game.
Lucasarts is not going to make another one, BF and Galaxy and more new sw games are now for sale. JK is history..

That's a pretty sweeping statement there You've got a quote from Lucasarts that confirms this? And you're absolutely sure that there's going to be no call at all for a Star Wars lighsaber-based game in the future?

If you're sure of the second, perhaps you'd like to tell me what the lottery numbers are going to be this weekend?

It's not that. More likely that they get more money off of Galaxies' latest expansion pack, or the much-rumored KotOR III. Or off of BF II. They don't care about who plays their games. It's all $$$ to them. Follow the money... JK series isn't making as much moolah as they'd like. I do some minor businesswork, and I have seen ideas that lasted for a long time dropped because they don't make money.

It's sad, but probably true. But hey, we have teams and teams of modders, don't we?

Now this is a very plausible explanation and I could see this happening. Then again I think we may be a little pessimistic on this subject. Perhaps they won't release a new JK next year, the year after or maybe a few after that though I'm confident they will come out with a new "JK-esque" game eventually (not KOTOR III).

Then again, this could be blind optimism...it's purely conjecture though I find it hard to believe that they won't come out with another "pretend to be a Jedi" game.

Don't get me wrong; I certainly hope for another JK game. I was just saying why it may not happen. But it could, you know. We'll have to see.

And I believe that even the rumor of KotOR III is boosting profits from KotOR and TSL. Not 100% sure about that, but it would make sense in some ways.

Hi all. Yes another new person Well this has to be the thread of destiny for me. I have an on again off again relationship with Jedi Outcast. Whenever I need just a bit of room to download some apps or a new game I always uninstall JK2, but every month or every other month I reinstall it.

I mean you just can't beat that SP storyline. Which is why if LucasArts isn;t goign to make another Jedi Knight game they need to brainstorm and make a combo FPS/RPG game. i.e. my dream game

The dream game for me would be a SW game with a KOTOR/KOTOR II type storyline (which is so in-depth) and Jedi Outcast/Academy type action (which is so intense). Yes I know a rpg game that shifts to a fps when it's time to fight might be hard to pull off but hey it's my fantasy deal with it!

And for the record JK2 is back on the PC and once again I'm playin over the SP but with a diff saber hilt this time.

To Darth Smaug I agree with you 100%, KOTOR is one of the best SW games out, and I HATE RPGs. I only tried it because a friend suggested it and showed me the trailer and because it was so good I got KOTOR II as well and those are the ONLY 2 RPGs I will play unless KOTOR II has an expansion or they make KOTOR III.

Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are my favorite games of all time. I keep both on my hard drive and I'm always looking for good SP addon levels to play. http://www.pcgamemods.com has some good SP levels top play and the Dark Forces mod for Jedi Academy at http://darkforces.jediknight.net is awesome to. I beleive we will have another Jedi Knight game or some kind of FPS from LEC in the future. A year hasn't even past from LEC's last FPS Republic Commando. RC was fair but it wasn't anywhere as good as JO or JA. JO and JA just had that great gameplay feel to it. It was 4 years between MotS and JO so anything can happen.

My dream, to watch Imperial ships explode in my gunsights.

Ham you can't compare the 2 games they are completely different.
Republic Commando was awesome in that someone actually pulled off a good Star Wars games without lightsabers or Force Powers. The only drawback to RC for me was the length. They need to make an expansion pack for it.

JO and JA are also different. JO having a MUCH better stroryline for the SP while JA has a better fighting simulation and MP. I was hooked from the 1st day the Raven's Claw touched down on Kejim. It's too bad Academy was the end of the JK series.

I don't want to touch off a testy debate as it isn't relevant to this thread though I will say, as a matter of fact, alot of people would disagree with you here...

Not necessarily, LucasArt's is busy with their Empire At War and etc. When all the hub bub is over, they'll go back to what works....IMO game companies operate in much the same way hollywood does.

They stick to what works.

Sure it might not be a true "JK IV" but I'm confident that they'll come out with another lightsaber slice and dice game.... hopefully one set during Ep I-III.
