Seriously, you people need to lighten up... Alot of people just use leet to be funny, its a joke, not somthing to get annoyed over.

Yes but there are people out there that think that that jargon is cool.....they practical live it and breathe it

When I get home people'll ask me, "Hey Hoot, why do ya do it man? Why? Just some war junkie?" Ya know what I'll say? I won't say a goddamn word. Why? They won't understand. They won't understand why we do it. They won't understand that it's about the men next to you, and that's it. That's all it is.

My English teacher told me someone wrote a book in 1337 or AOL speak. Odd.

I find the phrase "I ROXORS UR BOXORS" incredibly amusing. How do you rock their boxer in a game...(wait don't tell me )

I was playing BF1942 the other day and there was someone camping underneath the hangar on El Alamien. This is what someone said to him:

"Pl4yer! j00 is teh suXoRZ!!!!111"

I never understood the whole jargon and leet speak thing, as a joke or not. If you can read and write the english language, then type in it.

Examples:

j00 - seriously, there is a problem with the word "you"? spoken phonetically, it doesn't even sound like "you". Pure nonsense.

teh - THE, THE, THE!!! Just reverse the order. Do I really have to tell j00...I mean you.

suXorz - my all time favorite. I guess it's not cool just to say "you suck" anymore.

These are just a few things that annoy me about leet speak.
Maybe because I am getting old and the trendiness of things just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Can't read it so ignore it... makes some things hard to understand sometimes when you ignore it

Mom tells me I need brain food... but if writing ain't that, I don't know what is!

Actually, the funniest thing I heard was when I asked some people on a JA server if they had ever read Ctrl-Alt-Del before, One person did, so I asked him what his favorite qoute from it was.

I find it rather pointless. It's just an ego trip. And Kylilin, you are not too old to hate on it - I'm 16.
