Well....On my birthday (which was wednesday, the 21st) my recruiter took me to take the asvab test. I ended up getting a 55 on it. Then Thursday evening I was dropped off at the motor inn hotel in harrisburg and went to MEPS (military entrance processing station) the next day for the physical and to complete the enlistment process....

I was waked up at 4:20...got some breakfast, then was put on a bus and at the door they're all checking for weapons and i'm like 'oh ****..my pocket knife..' i always carry that on me...and well...it was confiscated cause of my stupid honest conscience...most of the day is spent waiting to go to the next thing...passed most of it...then...right before the drug test, they just had to take my blood. Well, i'm not too keen on needles, but it's been a while since i've had a shot....so i'm like 'ok this shouldn't be so bad..i'll probably just get lightheaded and short of breath, nothing to worry about..' heh...the nurse takes my blood and then i say 'i'm feeling dizzy, i'm going out' and then i see stars...and then next thing i know, i'm like gasping for air like...freaking weird and these faces are in front of me and i can't concentrate on just one....and it's like..damn what the hell am i in heaven or hell or what the heck? and then i'm told i tensed up and my head was leaned foreward and the air circulation was cut off or something like that. they said i was without oxygen for like 45 seconds and the nurse thought i had a siezure. weird. they let me get like 15-30 minutes of rest and got me some crackers and i somewhat recovered.

anyways...i end up passing the physical, and i call my mom and recruiter to tell what all happened, the doctor wasn't sure if i should go to the emergency room or not, just in case. i said no, i would be fine. i was..

then after a million hours of waiting....i got to select my mos...they didn't have alot available cause i am considered a drop-out cause of the mofo GED.....=\ but....i picked 88m, motor transportation operator....which had an enlistment bonus of $8000 and $42,000 for college. so that's cool. the basic training is in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri and I'll be stationed at Fort Indiantown Gap when my training is complete.

When I went to sign the papers....I freaked. I was mostly concerned about making a decision since what happened earlier could have possibly affected my mind and stuff...pissed off the recruiters, had them talking smack to me....i was like ok fine, this is good i want to do this, then i freaked out again, and then my recruiter talked to me and the councilors told me why i should, etc. and i was like 'ok, this time i want to...' heh...and anyways, they took me out of the system and were like 'well, you could come back tomorrow' and i was like 'k..' and the next day i felt much better...i blew off my boss at work cause he gave me **** for not wearing my hat. and i've got no regrets for going the next day...got to take my family and friend w/me and got some pics when i swore in.
