How to open efx files?

is there a way i can open those efx files inside the assests?

If you want to open them in EffectsEd, then AFAIK you'll have to extract them (and gfx, and shaders) into gamedata\base.

However, they are text files, so you can always open and edit them in Notepad.

[Edit: EffectsEd and some documentation comes with the MP SDK and with Radiant, and is the tool Raven used to edit the .efx files]

When i open it with notepad, i just get a bunch of words and numbers.

Where can i get that latest version?

Cause pcgamemods, jk3files and lucasfiles doesnt have it.
